- Was able to get this unit on sale and it was a great purchase. Great detail in the down and side imaging.
- It worked great, the down imaging and side imaging had awesome detail.
- The Humminbird Onix is the best fish finder I have ever had the pleasure to use. The Sideimaging and down imaging is top notch.
- The unit worked correctly for about 6 hours and now the side imaging, down imaging have garbage all over the screen, the 2d sonar screen has nothing and it cannot read the depth.
- Extraordinary performance with excellent display..... can only page through the different screens forward
- Chirp technology makes fishing more enjoyable as it increases your chances of catching fish.
- It is ok. Pretty good as a depth/fish/structure machine. Speed checks out pretty close as does temps.now the not so good.
- Excellent little unit. It fit my boat perfectly and works as expected. Down imaging is great as is the traditional sonar. Chirp adds some nice clarity.
- It's hard to get ajusted to it,I wish I would of spent a few dollars more, and got the one that has side and down imaging, other than that it works fine.
- The use of the smartstrike hummingbird map cards and using auto chart live is an awesome feature.
- The touch screen is very responsive. The screen itself is very clear and has a great picture.
- The display and screen size is just right for a smaller boat.
- Great display. Complicated, but fairly logical user interface.
- Very good Di fish finder for the money. Gps maps are adequate for now.
- Very clear easy to read and operate
- The next headache was the maps, they too needed to be updated, they are large files and the download did take a long time to complete .The base-map update had the same warning about bricking so again a little nerve-racking.
- If you get one you definitely want to spend some time using autochart live. I think this feature will be a game changer for tournament fishing.
- The only issue I had was when connecting the unit to my power source. I was only using 14 guage wire and it was split a few times. connecting that 14 guage to the 16 or 18 guage wire that is coming from the unit was not enough current to successfully power the unit.
- Installation was pretty easy, software update required some work on my part but went smoothly.
- The best part about this unit other than the obvious DI/chirp/GPS capabilities is the clarity at all times, day or night.
- Having GPS is awesome coming from a non-gps model.
- Very nice depth finder and gps! Very pleased with this item.
- The first project was installing it. It required a 5/8" hole to install a large transducer cable; Humminbird should know people do not like holes in their boat
