- I have been very happy with this unit. The downscan and sonar work very well. Integration/networking with my 899 was also a breeze.
- The down imaging is very nice and clear. Note, this unit does NOT have side scan. I mounted the transducer to my trolling motor with no problems.
- The downscan and sonar work very well. Integration/networking with my 899 was also a breeze.
- Works great. I've had it out on 2 different lakes and it performed great. It's really nice to have a gps that you can trust running 60mph in the dark on the lake.
- This is a great fish finder for the price. Never had a problem with it.
- You get what you pay for. And for the price I got a good product that does the job.
- The main reason I got this was to scan rivers and post them on google maps. And it does the job really well!
- The side imaging, in my opinion, is not that big of a feature that adds too much value for the added money.
- Very disappointed with this product, it performs nothing like it was advertised.
- The unit comes with a non-HD transducer which costs another $250 to upgrade to
- Large, bright screen visible from 10 feet away. Easy to use, even for a low-tech person like me.
- This was a perfect compliment to the 899ci HD SI at the drivers console. I use the 899 side scan to locate structure/cover/brush piles, make them, and because they are networked, the waypoints show up at my 859ci.
- XP maps didn't cover Delavan lake in WI. which surprised me ( one of the larger lakes in WI.).
- This is a nice unit and a 7" display ought to be large enough for most people.
- The base map isn't very good so I bought the Navionics + card and it worked flawlessly with this unit.
- I really enjoy the larger display on this unit. I already own a 798ci hd si 'bird and the larger screen is much appreciated.
- This graph is a compact unit with same clarity, perfect for the smaller Jon boat.
- The big color screen is nice and is easier to read.
- The only negative I have about Humminbird units is their built-in lake maps is not as complete as I would like, ie, not all lakes are there.
- Very nice finder. Could come with a swivel mount.
- I used the Humminbird Ethernet cable to network the two and share data. Installation was easy using a heavy duty RAM mount.
- The unit came on time but the mounting bracket was wrong. After a few emails, I got that coming. I looked further and the connector bracket used to secure the wires to the back of the unit was wrong.
- I bought this unit with the idea that it would link with my minn kota i pilot but that didnt work either. POOR POOR POOR all around
- For a unit with so many features, to come without a printed owners manual is crazy. Having a manual on a cd does not do you much good when you are out on the boat.
- Added to my 798ciSI HD - networked and works fabulously.
- I use this fishfinder weekly. It is simple with tons of features. A little pricey but worth it.
- Everything about these units are good. Network and I pilot compatible.
- Just got my unit installed. The Head unit only has two connections power and transducer so was simple.
