- I bought this 2 years ago and the thing has still kept up with the times and provides great sound quality and great picture.
- I feel the overall sound that this AV Receiver produces (factory settings) is nearly perfect for our medium size room.
- The picture and sounds are crystal clear and there are no delays, unless you want one!
- The sound quality, picture quality, and even build quality are all great. Recommended!
- Channel separation was accurate, bass was heavy enough in music, everything seemed fine.
- I like the 7-channel music setting so that I can get 2-channel stereo music through all of the speakers rather than through just the right front and left front channels.
- This receiver has a very amazing sound the surround is cinema quality.
- This is my third one (due to upgrading) and all of them have performed very well and I have always been satisfied.
- I used this system to enhance my 5.1 surround system and I was not disappointed.
- The wireless speakers turned our 5.1 system into a 7.1 that sounds absolutely amazing. I would recommend this to anyone that asked me.
- Dolby Atmos and DTS X, and all of the other formats from Dolby and DTS work great. Great unit for normal home use, small man cave, etc.
- You can download an app that allows you to control everything directly from your phone!
- I like how easy the sub menu is to use, you can access everything while you’re watching tv without changing the input to see your system information.
- Love this receiver. It is very user friendly. All the setup was easy to understand with the on screen menus.
- Great product. The only downside is that after more that a week, I still cannot get the Music cast app to work. Many others have stated they have the same issue.
- The receiver passes 4K signals through to the TV and the TV clearly acknowledges that it is receiving a UHD signal.
- I really like the automatic YPAO microphone feature for quickly setting up and tuning the initial sound settings.
- Audio Return Channel function works well. It's nice being able to use the Smart TV apps and get sound through the receiver rather than always needing to use the blu ray player.
- Sounds great and very versatile in handling inputs and switching using Alex.
- There is a feature YPAO that balances the sound coming from the 6 different speaker positions so that if you sit in center, it is perfect.
- LOVE, Love, love this receiver. After upgrading to a 4K TV and TiVo Bolt I wanted a 4K HDMI switching receiver and this Yamaha fits the bill nicely.
- The wired network connection on this Yamaha AV receiver allows us to get free "internet" radio (few advertisements) that produces very good sound quality.
- I was able to connect all my outdoor speakers and they all sound terrific.
- Can't really use bluetooth headphones to watch TV as this lacks support for low latency bluetooth.
- The only negative is one dumb Yamaha design flaw. The plug is right next to the speaker wire terminals. It should have been placed on the opposite end of the receiver where the aux jacks are.
- Seamless 4K capability. HDCP v2.2 interfaces perfectly with my Samsung M9700 4K Blu Ray Player and Samsung QN75Q8FN 4K Television.
- HDMI pass-through works flawlessly. Even when the receiver is off, it will pass the blu ray player signal (including UHD signals) to the TV.
- The HDMI CEC functions works well with my blu ray player and TV. Good quality.
- While it has WiFi capability, I appreciate that it still has an ethernet port. I prefer that method of LAN interface.
- Yamaha ditched the front HDMI input in favor of a USB input. I'm far more apt to temporarily connect an HDMI device (like a laptop) to the receiver than a USB device, so I didn't like that change.
