- I like the receiver, it's feature-rich, powerful enough for my needs and has plenty of options for connectivity.
- Suddenly the the tv connected and everything was working fine.
- Love it. Best AV receiver for the price. Needed a receiver for a small family room. We're not music aficionados but still like a good music sound. This was a perfect match.
- Of course the audio is great ! Found a free computer program in the Windows Store called OnkRemote that controls the receiver via laptop without the need for the remote, works great.
- I compared this to a Denon and the Denon was just warmer. The sound just seems flat. To me good just not great.
- Clean sound, Plenty of power per channel, Multichannel mode works great for home theater and stereo mode provides great sound for my audio collection.
- Adequate watts per channel. Nice sleek design.
- Plenty of power sent through 7 channels with 2 sub outputs. The receiver is very customizable and easy to use.
- The 7.2 channel makes my ceiling speakers come to life! And the centre channel adds even more. Excellent product.
- With 7.2 channels there are multiple multiple configurations for any room or multiple rooms.
- Lot's of built in streaming apps that you can either use from a phone with the Onkyo or Play-Fi app or on your TV screen.
- Music apps (Spotify, Amazon music, Pandora and others) controlled from smartphones, tablets or PC.
- The control app for your phone works fairly well so if you are using the zone 2 you can control the receiver from there.
- The user interface is a little mediocre, and the chromecast functionality plus the android app are not very good.
- No Alexa integration and Chromecast is very basic and worked very poorly with my Google Home device.
- Good signal response and was able to hook it up to older equipment.
- This Sony audio-video receiver lets you enjoy room-filling Dolby surround sound and wireless streaming from apps with Bluetooth. Control playlists and volume right from your phone or tablet and automatically charge your phone while enjoying the entertainment.
- Bluetooth and the phone app work great for controlling the volume, etc from another room.
- Very easy to switch and control the sound and radio.
- If you your considering this product for receiving radio broadcasts, don't.
- Plug all wires and hdmi cables in, turn on, and use supplied mic to setup your system. It does it all for you and walks you thru it step by step as long as it’s connected to your Tv.
- It had everything I wanted: modern HDMI connections, Bluetooth, Phono input for LPs, and line output (for digitizing old cassettes), relatively simple remote control.
- The video quality is great 4k no flicker no fuzz the reverse audio hdmi works great, dont have to use up oen of my digital opticals to get killer tv surround mix.
- Major problem was keeping Airplay connected. It would drop songs and then just stop working altogether. Internet based content would freeze up.
- No front panel HDMI or USB. Tiny remote with even tinier buttons.
- This receiver is very easy to connect and the picture is great. Very happy with the purchase.
- Very happy with the purchase so far. Blue tooth connection was fast and easy.
- Everything I own has HDMI connections so this receiver is perfect .
- Excellent mid-price receiver with with all the bells and whistles needed for most home hi-fi and/or home theater fans.
- Outputs sound from all connected speakers.
