- This is my third Onkyo receiver in a row since Sept 2008 and its also the cheapest and best sounding to boot!
- Loving this receiver! It’s running my set of Polk Audio speakers (5.1, and the front mains are bi-amped).
- The sound is balanced and FULL. Lots of AVRs can be loud, but the sound is kinda bland and lifeless. This AVR has a wonderful, warm sound, at all volume levels.
- Onkyo is the best for me, they are low in cost, good sound and all the basic features just like the higher price systems.
- This receiver gets heavy use between movie watching, audio playing and gaming. Working well.
- It is a robust high end receiver that is 4K capable that I was looking for. It was a bit overwhelming at first to setup but it went well in the end.
- The sound is rich and feels more like deep rooted analog than digital.
- I am super pleased with this receiver. It sounds good and has incredible features, for the price. Happy it is made in Vietnam, as opposed to China.
- Unit provides plenty of power, has a great auto-calibration system and integrates well wirelessly and with Samsung TV.
- This unit feels and sounds high quality! Very happy with this unit and looking forward to adding the rest of the surround components.
- Updating the software allows your SONOS Connect to power on and switch inputs on the Onkyo. I have installed dozen of Onkyo receivers and they are rock solid. Never had one go bad yet.
- Easy to set up, loads of capabilities, sounds great, etc. All in all, I'm very happy with it.
- The app you can use is great, bluetooth, e.t.c, all very convenient.
- Bought this because my old onkyo malfunctioned. So worth the upgrade with Bluetooth. The quality of the user interface feels a lot better.
- Wow! Great feature and sounds fantastic. Overall I am very happy with the unit and love that I can control the audio from my android and iphones.
- I have five channels in my family room and four components. Easy setup of integrated ROKU, TIVO, Blu-ray and Apple iOS streaming or Airplay.
- The Heos app is good enough for selecting various streaming sources and controlling basic functions like volume while the remote app allows more control of the receiver through you phone or tablet.
- The Microphone setup for the Audyssey dynamic eq speaker calibration was easy and set the balance up perfect.
- The unit has been very glitchy with "Alexa" - sometimes the functions perform well and sometimes it is the opposite extreme.
- The mobile app and overall user experience with regards to menus is TERRIBLE!
- This new Onkyo has plenty of input and output HDMI connectors in addition to all the old style video/audio inputs.
- Very clear and sounds great, the turntable sounds awesome also. Blue tooth, network. What a cool combination.
- Onkyo has better tech, better sound, better Bluetooth, better everything. Customer for life.
- ARC function through HDMI? Yes, it has it. But you will have to mess with the settings constantly when it randomly quits working.
- Bluetooth pairing (no sound) issue! Seems to be a common problem. Sometimes it plays audio from a connected Bluetooth device, but sometimes it does not.
- Great specifications at a great price. Has a phono and usb input which were both features I was looking for.
- It has Bluetooth and a comprehensive on screen menu via the HDMI-CEC to the TV.
- If choosing between the two 5.2 models, this model has better connectivity options for network/internet music.
- Blue tooth connectivity is glitchy as it regularly drops and reconnects.
- Bluetooth , connecting my IPhone7 is easy but only last for 2-3 songs on shuffle , then I have to press next again.
