- This receiver is a beautiful high tech piece of electronics, it has lots of power, the sound is great and it is very cool to play around with.
- Easy setup, superior sound quality, and great for listening to albums.
- My speakers require high power to function prperly and the 100 watts per channel this receiver provides brings out the best in them.
- I am very satisfied and highly recommend this product for anyone interested in quality sound, connectivity, and ease of use.
- This unit is very sharp sounding on all highs, mids and lows..especially the highs,, really satisfied with this 2 channel BEAST.
- The music is clean and clear at all volume levels. I don’t feel I would have listening fatigue.
- Absolutely love this receiver. It sounds fantastic thru my Martin Logan Motion 40's.
- I find myself stuck listening to music I have listened to for years noticing nuances that had been previously unheard.
- Excellent sound hooked up equalizer made it sound even sweeter this is my third yamaha reciever always happy with yamaha products if your thinking about a new reciever think yamaha.
- Awsome unit, great sound and plenty of power, my family so happy to have it.
- I use the recommended Onkyo controller app on my phone & tablet and the receiver delivers a wonderful image and description in real time off of my handhelds, so, I am quite satisfied.
- One of the best features is that you can stream music services with it after downloading the Onkyo Controller app.
- The app lets me control and turn on and off from anywhere in the house.
- I LOVE tone controls on the front, just not THESE tone controls. This Onkyo's front bass & treble control is HARSH.
- The only thing I wish they would add to the app would be the ability to alter, base, treble and the A/B speaker selection.
- The MusicCast app is very useful, easy to use and has plenty of functionality.
- This receiver is nearly perfect. I use it primarily as connection to music radio streaming services for which it excels. Tidal and Spotify sound great.
- A big surprise was the ability to view the results in the MusicCast app and then to tweak the settings if I desired, including changing subwoofer crossover point, speaker distances and things like that.
- It set up nicely, the MusicCast app downloads easily and finds the product on my network (the device can connect wirelessly or wired to a network).
- It looks decent. Remote works well but it feels very plasticky and cheap.
- Build quality, consistent Wi-Fi connection, ample power and ease of use.
- There are 4 HDMI ports for input from multiple sources. There's a USB in on the front of the unit that will play from my phone or a memory stick.
- I bought the Onkyo TX-8270 because it had a built in Riaa and wifi, so that I could connect my turntable directly without getting a seperate preamp and listen to new stuff from youtube.
- Good features and sound for the price, but sometimes drops WiFi and has to be re-added.
- Bluetooth has bad reception with interrupts even at close distance.
- I was used to Bluetooth speakers before, but this blows them away. I can control so many things with just my phone, it’s awesome.
- The network connection process is supper easy. I am very happy and can recommend!
- Airplay works a treat and the WiFi connection is strong when the supplied antenna is positioned properly.
- Bluetooth does not work well at all. It stutters frequently and doesn’t sound that great. Wireless network performance is also mediocre.
- The Bluetooth performance, while of good sound quality, sputters. It drops connectivity sporadically.
