- I'm very impressed decent multi-channel sound.
- The Yamaha works perfectly right out of the box with no setup. Simply plugged the Xbox One X into the system.
- Works as expected and fully satisfied so far. Looking forward to using more.
- Sets up quickly, easy to check speakers with the Yamaha mike, remote is intuitive.
- This product do not support dual voltage. This is misleading from the context mentioned. This product comes with 120V only.
- This is a very good A/V receiver for your entry level to midrange home theater.
- Has enough channels to power your front left, right and center channels along with a pair of side and rear surrounds plus two subwoofers.
- With 100 watts per channel it should be loud enough for most rooms. What I like most about it is how it works with Alexa.
- Great audio receiver, produces awesome sounds when paired with the Bose 301 speaker. Has build-in wifi and Bluetooth.
- On screen display does not work with 4k 60hz or HDR or some other features.
- The YPAO was pretty cool, I am not sure if it did anything though. The ARC (audio return channel) must be utilized if you want audio back from your smart TV.
- There's built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, Hi-Res audio support and MusicCast which is Yamaha's excellent multiroom system.
- It also includes Yamaha's Anti Resonance Technology (ART) wedge, which is a fancy name for a fifth foot under the chassis to provide even more support and isolation.
- Excellent remote app allowing me to control from anywhere in my apartment. Very responsive and easy to operate.
- Remote control does not always work well and lack of backlight.
- My home is mostly automated so I can ask Alexa to watch the living room tv and the Marantz turns on, along with the other equipment I need.
- You can control volume, and inputs with voice commands as well.
- The amp also allows you to use it as a pre-amp as well so if you need more power or want better amplification later on, you can do this easily.
- Their Android application does not work on Samsung Note 8 with latest software.
- All network services like spotify, airplay, Internet radio stop working after a minute or so and I am on wired ethernet. No problems with any other devices I have.
- The Receiver works great with Amazon Alexa and supports AirPlay. Also it can be connected to internet using ethernet cable or built-in wi-fi adapter.
- Setup process was easy thanks to onscreen menus and YPAO calibration and the sound quality is great. Network connection and AirPlay work fine.
- At the rear are the majority of the connections and the A870 has a fairly stripped down selection compared to the higher-end models in Yamaha's AVR range.
- There are seven HDMI inputs at the rear but only the first three and the two HDMI outputs support 4K60p 4:4:4, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, Rec.2020, and HDCP 2.2.
- It’s no better than my old one because not all HDMI inputs support HDCP 2.2.
- 8 point audessey channel calibration. This seems great but I didn't proceed with the calibration as the only input I had working was cable tv.
- They sound great. Many options on this AVR and enjoy the Spotify connection along with Heos.
- HEOS is great!!! Sounds way better than anything connected via toslink or hdmi.
- ARC and CEC does not work consistently or at least I cannot find any logic in how it works.
- Switching between inputs is painfully slow and goes through a black screen.
