- The old 3900 now graces my office with 7.1 sound on my computer and the 2050 works in the living room giving much appreciated clear, crisp sound.
- This is really an excellent amp if you need 9+ channels. I use it to drive 2 electrostatics and 7 Ohm speakers and it is crystal clear.
- I'm very pleased with this receiver so far because of the quieting I'm hearing which is almost no hum or noise other than record scratches.
- Best A/V receiver ever! After doing the firmware upgrade the receiver produces a lot of power per channel, perfect sound, fantastic picture!
- The power and sound is just amazing. If you're wondering if you will be able to tell the difference in sound between a receiver like this and a mid-grade option, you will definitely be able to.
- The receiver was extremely easy to setup. I am currently running 9 speakers and 2 subs. Perfect!
- Sounds really good with both two-channel and multi-channel sources.
- 125 Watts per channel - should be enough power to drive nearly any speakers (and you can use the pre outs to drive external amps if you need more power).
- The internet music channels are fantastic, especially the high quality streaming that really lets you appreciate the details in the music.
- The only limitation I have found is that it only powers 9 outputs, so I have my front channel speakers on a separate amp.
- It is easy to set up and easy to navigate the menus. The Yamaha app makes it easy to control from any room and Bluetooth works flawlessly.
- Sounds great with FLAC music and 4K movies. Will be completing my Atmos setup soon and hope to enjoy movies more.
- Software on Yamaha is way better than Denon. Even like the app for ipad allot.
- Once set up, functions very well. Using the mobile app, especially for zone usage is quite nice.
- Atmos is fabulous and now I'm looking forward to the DTS:X upgrade shortly.
- Audyssey XT32 microphone calibration system works very well and I believe it's worth the money.
- Awesome surround sound while playing MW3, Halo, and Star Wars battle front which, if run from my MSI gaming computer decodes in Dolby Atmos which is the latest sound decoding using ceiling speakers.
- Clean industrial design with detailed display and controls under cover.
- Audyssey Platinum Suite – this makes a huge difference in our complex listening environments and an exponential difference when combined with ATMOS.
- The mobile app is crap, crap, crap. SLOW and barely functional with everyone within 25 feet of my 3 band wireless router.
- With modern connections such as Bluetooth, HDMI 2.0, wifi, AirPlay... Etc... This bad boy is going to be around for a while.
- Outstanding receiver! Great surround sound...LOVE the multi-zones and WiFi access!!
- No cables required! I’ve only had it a few days and haven’t streamed music via Bluetooth yet but it won’t be long.
- On the negative side, you cannot use bluetooth headphones with this receiver while watcing tv or movies due to a significant delay between the audio and video.
- Connecting your audio source (i.e. smartphone or tablet) to the receiver via bluetooth became spotty when the bluetooth device was more than a few feet from the receiver.
- Great looking and sounding receiver with easy setup that is ready for the future; has all the inputs and outputs I need.
- I still find the Bluetooth connection as the best sounding with no drop outs. Again, this Marantz SR7010 has a wonderful sound musically.
- The built-in Bluetooth is very nice (replacing the dongle that took up an input on my old receiver), and the M-DAX feature really does make compressed audio sources sound better to me.
- Lots of HDMI ports. So far I've hooked up a cable box, PS3, Amazon Fire TV Stick, custom-built HTPC, and plasma TV with no issues.
- Bluetooth support is rubbish - connection stutters and drops after 4-5 songs. Wifi gets easily confused - thinks it's connected but not, and have to power cycle to fix.
