- So far this receiver fits the bill precisely, with a great price, quick and painless setup, and intuitive remote controller thrown in for good measure.
- The Pioneer Vsx-933 is a great receiver for the money and has exceeded my expectations.
- After a lot of research and reading reviews I bought the VSX-933 and it has been great.
- This receiver has been working out just fine. For a medium size room, it is great. The on-screen interface is easy to use and follow.
- The previous machine had significantly capabilities and wattage output, allowing for fine tuning the theater experience.
- Denon AVR X1500 80 watts/channel 8 Ohms works flawlessly with 7.1 Atlantic Technology speaker system with 14 gauge wires.
- The picture quality of this unit is insanely good. Sound is crystal clear and has plenty of power.
- This is the 2nd Denon AVR I've owned, and both were very impressive in terms of sound quality and ease of use. Sound so clear, recommended.
- The sound quality between this Denon and the Yamaha is incredible. The Denon is better in every, conceivable way, and yet I paid less than 1/3rd the price I paid for the Yamaha.
- Holy cow this thing is awesome! Sounds great in my new home that I pre wired for surround sound.
- I have JBL Northridge E Series speakers and have been enjoying the 5.1.2 decoding the receiver provides after using the MCACC setup.
- The sound quality is every bit as good as the Denon was, maybe a little better. Be sure to run the Mcacc as this will set all the channel levels and delays for your particular room.
- Receiver delivers sound and video far better than any others in this price range. Easy to connect components and a wide variety of convenience and performance enhancing features.
- Can be controlled via your smartphone. Connects to all your music accounts.
- Speaker binding posts are way too close together which may lead to inconvenience when connecting the wires.
- No voice latency - lagging issue so far. It's fun to hook up receiver with Alexa and use Heos app.
- Easy setup, excellent sound, play music direct from my iPhone or from iTunes on my PC with iTunes latest version 10 and up with AirPlay2.
- Easy to set up with on screen step by step. Awesome crisp sound. Nice unit for the price.
- First AVR. Very impressed. Simple to use. Awesome sound. Using with a 4K projector and a Polk speaker system. Perfect!
- The only CON that I have, is that it is a little harder to manually adjust the sound (Bass/Treble)/Surround config.
- They are actively upgrading the software. I have the unit hooked to cat5 so the updates are quick. Running 5.1.2 and it sounds great.
- Built like a tank, this Pioneer receiver puts out the best sound I have ever heard out of my Andrew Jones 5.1 setup. Also transfers the perfect image to my screen.
- I'm having an issue getting the receiver to pass through the UHD signal from my Nvidia Shield to my UHD LG TV.
- Please note that if you need rs232 or ir remote port you will have to upgrade to Pioneer Elite model, as the 933 doesn’t have them.
- Just beware that if you are getting this model for the ZONE 2 feature it only works on the ANALOG (RCA) inputs. HDMI or digital won't work on ZONE 2 speaker outputs.
- Performs very good with 2017 LG Oled 55" TV via ARC HDMI.
- I’ve set this one up with a usb to the tv and connected to my iPhone through Bluetooth and after a relatively simple setup it has performed well and been easy to control.
- Great value for the money! We needed a state of the art surround receiver with WiFi and Bluetooth, and it fits the bill nicely!
- The deal breaker was HDMI/HDCP bugginess. To switch to my Tivo input, it took about 30-60 seconds for the picture to come on.
- While watching a TV show, the picture would cut out for 10-20 seconds at a time (sound would remain) maybe every 10 minutes or so.
