- Very clean sound w/ 90W per channel from AVR-S920W. I run 5.1 AV in one room and stereo AV in second room. The second room mirrors the Main so, you cannot mix sources.
- What a amazing receiver this does it all and it is very very powerful 185 W is amazing if you were in the market for a Dolby Atmos Receiver then this is the way to go especially at $500 I am 100% satisfied
- Easy to setup, and I have used it with blue ray, 4k and 3D movies and it handles them all. Awesome sound where you feel like you are right in the middle of the action.
- Full 4K throughput, moderate power and all the cool features I need. iPhone App works well once it finds the receiver, integration with tv is excellent, surround sound and second zone stereo features are well developed.
- Really expexted it to have dolby pro logic 2 for the price. Can't play stereo music over 5.1 channel without it.
- Sounds are not as sharp & pure as my another room's receiver Onkyo TX-RZ810
- I paired my S910W with a Definitive Mythos Nine center channel speaker, two Definitive Mythos ProMonitor 1000 front bookshelf speaker, two Definitive Mythos Gem rear speakers and a Paradigm PS1000 subwoofer. I have all my media available on my home network and the system sounds terrific.
- Dolby atmos works awesome and it can convert any dolby true hd 7.1 format into atmos.
- Music sounds great and watching movies is great too. Everything hooks up to the reciver and one HDMI arc cable to the tv( Sony 65" ultra high definition 4K) Niceeee!!
- Sounds fantastic with my Definitive Technology speakers. The sound is a bit bright when listening to music in stereo but it's spot on for movies.
- The only downside is that I can't add/upgrade additional overhead channel speakers for Dolby Atmos. I knew this when I bought this receiver so this doesn't reflect on my rating
- I find that the sound fades in and out which is frustrating. I have played with all the settings and have not found a way to resolve this.
- Full 4K throughput, moderate power and all the cool features I need.
- iPhone App works well once it finds the receiver, integration with tv is excellent, surround sound and second zone stereo features are well developed.
- RC Select (allows changing of an HDMI source while the AVR is in Standby mode)
- Supplied measuring microphone and mic stand which generates a series of test tones at each speaker, including the subwoofer, and then creates a full set of precision digital filters that optimize system.
- The remote is intuitive and easy to use even in a darkened room
- Do not buy if you are relying on the app for controlling it. It is garbage. If I would've known ahead of time, I wouldn't have purchased. The denon app is 2.2 stars out of 5, and I imagine it will get worse. If you can use the remote, it is fantastic and amazing with my 7.1 setup.
- Setup was simple using Audyssey and the included MIc. I mounted it to a tripod at each of my seating locations and it did the rest. I
- ARC which is smarter than other systems I've used, I can use any remote with the receiver and it will work plus it auto selects the input when changed
- Audyssey audio calibration is also very quick and easy, and the included cardboard stand for the microphone is a really nice touch for those of us without tripods handy
- GUI menus weren't natively built in 4k. Or even 1080p. Blurry graphics and text all around.
- It has a safety feature that will turn it off but you cann't figure out why. The trouble shooting guide only mention a few. Others you have to guess. Yes.!! Guess, it is not explain. So you are left with it turning off on you every day and more than once.
- I'm using the ARC connection with my new LG OLED TV and that works great. It's nice to have a 2 way HDMI connection with the TV
- Dual band 802.11n Wifi (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz)
- HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 compliant which makes connections a no brainer and a little future proofing.
- Includes some stickers that help identify speaker wire connections
- My only disappointment has been that the Bluetooth connection often drops while I am using it. When this happens, I have to unplug the system from the power source to "reboot" it.
- Really easy setup (HDMI video pass-through is SO great! Down from over 20 cables to just 6!)
- The wi-fi connection is easy to set up and makes updating the unit to the latest firmware really straightforward
- AirPlay connectivity for my family's iPhones and iPod Touches is nice if we ever want to play some music while we're downstairs and keep it to our personal libraries
- Over-the-HDMI-cable control (variously called CEC, VieraLink, etc.) to do things like automatically turn on the correct devices when the receiver is powered on and switched to a particular input
- The wireless features, DLNA, Wifi, Bluetooth, all work great.
