- High resolution wide angle 1080p and adjustable viewing angle.
- Beautiful video. Nice 1080p video and it is very clear.
- Video quality is great. There really is a huge amount of difference in 1080p compared to the lesser cameras.
- The video quality is actually surprisingly good. It's almost as good as my gopro minus the frame rate. It captures good detail and I am can clearly see other cars license plates.
- LCD screen is hard to read unless viewed at a fairly tight angle.
- Screen is a little too small to really see what happened. Best to attach it to another device (like a computer or a mobile device with a bigger screen if you need to view a past video).
- The footage is clear and you can make out details & reg numbers of cars in front very easily up to about 30 feet distance.
- Amazing 2560x1440p image, clear number plates during the day and easily keeps up with the competitors i have seen on night vision...
- The A119 image quality and resolution is also much better than the average home security camera. The image is much more useable for identification.
- The small screen is ideal for setting up the position of the lens and viewing the menu options, it is big enough to view footage as well but this is probably best done on a PC for detail.
- I found the max resolution looked pretty good but filesize is large and transferring and editing video slow even on my reasonable spec i5 PC. In the end I've gone for using 1920x1080 at 60frames and results are good and filesize reasonable. I'm using with Samsung Evo memory card.
- Excellent 1080p quality during daytime. The night time quality is not as great but it is still above the average when compared to other models.
- Easy to lock a video, take photos, and toggle audio mute from the front panel buttons.
- Wide angle really is wide angle. Seems to equivalent to a 10 – 12mm lens. Other cameras with a narrower field of view may miss recording interesting events.
- Contrast / exposure is excellent. Does quite well in bright, high contrast and also relatively well in low light. This includes when the summer sun is blasting directly into the lens.
- Screen viewing angle makes it very difficult to get a good idea what the camera is seeing. I have to crane my neck down under it because the LCD is not very visible from directly behind.
- The video is crisp at 160deg (provided the windscreen is clean) and the night vision works very well.
- I have been running this setup 24/7 in time lapsed mode at 1 FPS for around 1 month now. Works perfectly. No issues whatsoever. Interesting sometimes to see activities occurring in the middle of the night..In crystal clear.
- This is a no nonsence, easy to use basic dash cam with great quality video, there is no wifi which may put some people off, but then using the cable to connect to a PC or removing the micro SD card and using it in a reader is much quicker at transfering data than wifi anyway.
- The 160 degree lens is obviously very wide but suffers ( as all wide angle lenses do) from focal hot spot. This means there is a circle in the middle of the screen that displays the full definition while the outer edges suffer from distortions.
- The 2k resolution (2560x1440) and glass lens truly makes a difference to the Sharpness and detailed of the video. Additionally the 20mbps recording bitrate means you don't get too much pixelation and loss of detail through compression.
- Ability to record speed and lat/long if using the GPS antenna (I bought the Itrue GPS logger. It allow me to view the tracking on the map, lat/long, current speed, max speed, average speed and distance traveled).
- Automatic display turn off after 15 seconds (or as configured) while recording.
- Loop recording. Some other dash cams stop recording when it fills up a memory card. Not this one, it will record over older things. You can turn the feature off, but I’m not sure why anyone would want to.
- No WiFi support, requires physical removal of micro SD card or plugging the device into a computer via the USB port to retrieve files.
- Buttons are so small and hard to read that using the manual at first is a must. Once you’ve used it, it becomes no problem.
- It comes with an extra long USB linking cable to wire around the windscreen and under the dash - fitting the unit only took me <10 mins! Being plug-and-play it is very easy to use.
- The capacitor keeps the unit running and switches off safely once the car is switched off.
- The audio that is recorded has excellent clarity too - I believe the audio recording can be turned off in the settings.
- The options for customising what info you want the footage to contain, such as speed, your car reg and co-ordinates etc are impressive.
- The camera itself proved really easy to fit, and routing the cable only took a few minutes, so we were ready for use very quickly and easily. The Easy Start instructions are clear and precise, but actually the device's menu is so intuitive I did not need them.
