- Love the HD resolution, Great quality for cam in daylight, Good quality at night, i was impressed.
- Very nice camera, a little bigger than I anticipated but still small enough. The mount is great, nice and close to the windshield so it does not stick out very far and hides behind the mirror.
- The device itself is great. It records well and snugs nicely behind the rearview mirror. The ability to access the videos via wifi is very helpful and convenient.
- I am very impressed with the quality of the video. I have downloaded a number of the clips and/or watched live while driving using my iPhone.
- My main issue is video quality. My Garmin can read license plates perfectly but this unit hs problems with that unless you are inches from another car.
- This dashcam is worth the money. I've previously owned a cheap one, and after it failed to help me when someone rear ended me and drove off, I upgraded to this unit.
- I love these cameras this is the third one I have bought. I have them in my wife's car, my truck, and my sunny day car. It is a great insurance policy.
- This camera blows away the GoPro as a dashcam. The incredible detail the camera captures (day or night) is amazing. The camera definitely exceeded my expectations.
- This is my 2nd BlackVue Dashcam. They are not perfect, but overall, far better than any similar products offered to the general public in the US. Solid build quality, recent software/app overhaul was very much needed, and executed well.
- The device looks good compare to the previous version. Previous one has a silver color holder where this one has an all black holder (the part that stick to the window), so that its less visible from the outside.
- The video quality is great. the build quality of the cameras is incredible. I have had the one in my truck now (my daily driver) for 2.5 years now and it is still going very strong.
- Day time video is GREAT, I only wish it was 1080 at 60sec maybe they can do that in the next model. Nighttime is also good when you have lots of ambient light, like driving in a city, rural roads it's not as good but would do fine if you had an accident.
- The video quality is excellent and the form factor is great.
- I used this camera for a week, and loved it. Great picture quality (you can make out license plates on the front cam) and features like seeing your speed when driving and motion detecting parking mode.
- The video quality is great. the build quality of the cameras is incredible. I have had the one in my truck now (my daily driver) for 2.5 years now and it is still going very strong.
- Video quality is pretty good. However, the interface is really quite terrible
- Great camera system. Great clarity, easy to use, easy to install. Couldn't be happier. Rear camera is real nice, non obtrusive, clean install. I ordered one for my other car as well.
- Nevertheless, I had mixed emotions about the blackvue. I wanted a front and rear camera that was discrete without having to sacrifice quality of the video. However, after I received the dash cam and used it, I was surprisingly satisfied.
- The DR650S-2CH has a well known issue where the factory set lenses will drift out focus as temperatures rise in the vehicle specially when parked under the sun. Video quality degrades to the point you cannot read a license plate of a vehicle directly stopped in front of you.
- Software on Win 8.1 and iPhone 4S works well. Wi-Fi connection stable, no issues.
- Easily update camera firmware from iPhone (or other device) over Wi-Fi, nice job!
- Nice playback software with maps and speed to review your path.
- Once you stick to your windshield, it's stuck... re-positioning (left/right) is not an option unless you scrape it off and use the included 2nd sticky pad to do it over. But more secure than suction cup designs.
- LED Light on the rear camera is always on. Need to use black electrical tape to cover because at night it becomes extremely obvious you have something "on" in your rear window.
- Android App - sometimes the app fails to remember Blackvue wifi password so you have to re-enter.
- Window adhesives are great! And there are a couple spares.
- The cloud feature is near useless unless you happen to be in wifi range, but not a feature I intend to use anyways.
- Cloud connected. When connecting to the cloud, you can view the device video from anywhere, even live chat (10 minutes per day restriction for free account)
- ll also note, the app is trash. It's frequently difficult to connect to the dashcam, and the download rate is horrendous.
- The only issue I have, perhaps it is the card that is in it (PNY 128GB) this camera restarts every now and then. It might be the SD card but not sure.
- Cable for rear camera is not long enough (If you have a 3 row seat SUV), night visibility and resolution is unacceptable for the camera in this price range.
