This Rexing V1 dash camera has a collision detector to ensure vital recordings don't get overwritten.

The V1P supports dual-channel recording, allowing the dash cam to capture footage from the front camera while simultaneously recording from its rear camera attachment. This setup allows you to capture both ends of the road, and videos taken by the rear camera are stored alongside those from the front camera on the memory card for easy access.

High resolution wide angle 1080p and adjustable viewing angle.
Beautiful video. Nice 1080p video and it is very clear.
Video quality is great. There really is a huge amount of difference in 1080p compared to the lesser cameras.
The video quality is actually surprisingly good. It's almost as good as my gopro minus the frame rate. It captures good detail and I am can clearly see other cars license plates.
LCD screen is hard to read unless viewed at a fairly tight angle.
Screen is a little too small to really see what happened. Best to attach it to another device (like a computer or a mobile device with a bigger screen if you need to view a past video).

Clear, beautiful daytime HD picture. Built-in microphone that captures every single noise in the car.
Front facing camera can be tilted to adjust for different pitch windshields.
Picture quality is top notch even at night. Sound is decent for the mic that it has and is clear you can hear the conversion in the cab and easily tell if some one is honking, cant really tell what some one is saying if they are outside with the windows shut maybe if they are yelling you can.
The front-facing camera is high resolution and makes nice movies and the rear-facing camera makes reasonable, but not great movies.
The screen is optimally viewed if your windshield's rake is about 45 degrees, or if you have a very tall windshield. I don't have either of those, so I am forced to view the footage off-angle, which really degrades the image quality.
Rear camera quality/resolution is low, goes black and white in low light. Front camera gets a bit loose on its mount and vibrates at times.

Excellent 1080p quality during daytime. The night time quality is not as great but it is still above the average when compared to other models.
Easy to lock a video, take photos, and toggle audio mute from the front panel buttons.
Wide angle really is wide angle. Seems to equivalent to a 10 – 12mm lens. Other cameras with a narrower field of view may miss recording interesting events.
Contrast / exposure is excellent. Does quite well in bright, high contrast and also relatively well in low light. This includes when the summer sun is blasting directly into the lens.
Screen viewing angle makes it very difficult to get a good idea what the camera is seeing. I have to crane my neck down under it because the LCD is not very visible from directly behind.

The video footage, while not great, works for my intended purpose. I'm not using parking mode, and I also sit in a lot of traffic, so capturing hit and runners isn't very high on my priority list (knock on wood).
Great Picture - like the features 2cameras - mute button - play back on the unit - one touch lock - screen saver.
Quality of the optics are good, is very light, not obstructive, screen saver option is great.
Video footage playback is a little choppy, with some overlapping frames. Not a huge deal, I'm not making home movies here.
Rear cam is limited to 480x640 and settings cannot be changed independently from front cam.
I would have paid 20-30 dollars more for at least a 720p rear camera. 640x480 is barely doable.

Ability to record speed and lat/long if using the GPS antenna (I bought the Itrue GPS logger. It allow me to view the tracking on the map, lat/long, current speed, max speed, average speed and distance traveled).
Automatic display turn off after 15 seconds (or as configured) while recording.
Loop recording. Some other dash cams stop recording when it fills up a memory card. Not this one, it will record over older things. You can turn the feature off, but I’m not sure why anyone would want to.
No WiFi support, requires physical removal of micro SD card or plugging the device into a computer via the USB port to retrieve files.
Buttons are so small and hard to read that using the manual at first is a must. Once you’ve used it, it becomes no problem.

Very long cables that easily fits into crevices of the car.
Easy to install. You can plug the cigarette lighter into the proper port for simplicity sake, or you can disassemble the cig lighter and hard wire it into your car with an inline-fuse.
Automatically begins recording when you start your vehicle.
Picture and video quality is impressive. The video looping is also a great feature.
The dash camera kit lacks micro card. It is not a big problem, but it would be nice to get it as an option.
To possibly improve in the future - the angle of the monitor is difficult to see from the mounted position (maybe my windshield) - the manual could give a brief decryption of each setting alone with just how to get to the setting.
