- It bar none has the best suction of any vacuum I've ever used. No joke, I could not believe what it was picking up off my area rugs and carpets-I was impressed and a little grossed out.
- That's the greatest vacuum cleaner in this price range so far. I tried so many different brands and models, and, finally, found the best. If you have pets - you can't find anything better than this cleaner - it picks up all the hair from the floor, all corners and even from under the bed.
- I chose this vacuum to help with our allergies. Most of our house is hard wood floors. I like almost everything about this vacuum. The power head that comes with it, I don't love for carpet, it's just OK, but I don't have a ton of carpet, so it's fine.
- I don't want an upright vacuum. It's heavy and I have stairs. I don't want to lug a canister up the stairs by hand and get on my hands and knees to vacuum the rug. Plus I have to stop vacuuming to change out the vacuum head.
- This is an amazing vacuum cleaner. I've owned several expensive vacuum cleaners and this is the best I've ever had.
- I was so excited when I purchased my dyson canister vacuum and initially it performed well.
- This vacuum does it all! Expected it to do well on hard surfaces, but it also is great on carpets.
- The vacuum is still functioning although it is clearly slowing down and needs more frequent cleaning.
- The vacuum works well. It's maybe a little bulky to store but you have more flexibility when you actually vacuum.
- This is by far the best vacuum I have ever tried and I have owned many different brands.
- Super light weight and super powerful suction. I have two little dogs and they can produce more hairs than a grizzly bear and somehow every hair ends up stuck to my maroon velour couch.
- All the weight is in the canister so as you're vacuuming there's no weight to constantly push back and forth.
- It is light weight (I have spine issues) and I am able to carry it up a flight of stairs without straining my back/neck. I was not able to do that with the upright that I was using due to the weight.
- Very light weight and quiet. This is not a normal vacuum!!! Huge suction power, very light weight power head is turbine driven but has just the right power to clean but not abuse rugs.
- The plastic seems more flimsy and cheap, a plus when weight is important. Although the canister fell apart when shaking out the dirt.
- The vacuum is light and easy to lift and pull
- The weight is as I thought it would be, and it trailed behind me without tipping over.
- It's light weight bar and attachments make it easy to vacuum and I love the slim beater bar for carpets which allows me to get under furniture, in corners, and really do an excellent job.
- The vacuum is very light in weight, easy to maneuver, and store.
- I love this vacuum. Light weight, quieter than most, and picks up everything, including pet hair like no other I have had.
- Also, hose is pretty long, enough to clean my stairs without holding it in my hands. (I have 13 stairs and clean 8 stairs with vacuum cleaner on the top of the stairs, and last 5 from the bottom).
- The vacuum comes with a flex hose and a telescoping hard tube, all plastic. The combination works well and can reach far under furniture, something the upright cannot do because it's too bulky to fit.
- The stair tool is a small plastic tool, it works well because it packs suction in such a small area, but that's just it, it's very small. It could work as a hard floor attachment but it's just too narrow.
- Good turbine tool (although the newer tangle-free may be better since they say it works on uneven surfaces and this regular one doesn't always spin if there's too much pressure or not enough suction)
- The attachments are excellent, so cat hair off kitty's favorite spot on the couch comes up easily. But the attachments are expensive and as another reviewer wrote there's no place on the unit to store them which is a nuisance, I have to agree.
- The head is actually quite tall, meaning it doesn't fit under the things that my old vacuum could slide under, like my couch and another piece of furniture.
- Nice feature that eliminates any wires running down to the end of the wand. So far, this unit is working very well on both carpet and hardwood floors.
- Like all Dyson products, this is a small, dependable canister vacuum that has almost all the features and functionality of a full-size upright.
- My only negative comment is that small rugs are almost sucked into the vacuum. I discovered using the smallest flat hand tool at a very high angle, so that much of the suction is rendered incomplete, makes is easy to vacuum small rugs without standing on them.
- Canister needs frequent emptying (at least every 2nd vacuum), and this should be done outdoors due to the dust that escapes (the price of bagless).
- The retractable cord is long and works perfectly every time and the canister is pretty simple to empty.
- Self-retracting cord is still putting itself all the way back in place after all this time
- The power cord retracts very quickly even if it is past the red line.
- The cord could be longer but I wouldn't trade a longer cord for non-retracting that I have to wind myself.
- The cord is short. I find myself stopping the move outlets multiple times in the same room!
- The cord retraction is wonderful. I would highly recommend this vacuum.
- Cord is adequate length - covers a large apartment without swapping plugs.
- It is light, follows like a devoted pet, the hose and cord are long enough.
- What I like is the cord. It is long and it rolls back into the canister.
- The only downside is the cord is a bit short but she loves the retractable feature. Would definitely buy this one again.
