iRobot Roomba s9+ (9550)
Your Cleaning Pro
Pet hair is a real plague for carpets, but you can easily change that with the iRobot smart vacuum cleaner that was made to free your house or apartment from the fluffy pet leftovers.
First things first; Roomba s9+ is pretty expensive and will not be an easy choice for everyone. With that said, it gives you every dollar’s worth with an impressive array of functions, quality suction, and self-cleaning system. Let’s dive right into what makes it so amazing for your home.
Roomba delivers 40x the suction power compared to the previous models. In fact, it can be put side by side with the strong, full-size vacuums. Prepare to get rid of large amounts of long hair lying around; this vacuum lifts pet hair and debris from the carpet, then loosens and eliminates it. The 30% wider dual rubber brushes solve the hair problem, and the filter captures 99% of cat/dog allergens.
Even better; now you can forget all about cleaning for as many as 60 days. Roomba knows how to clean itself and leave all the debris in the automatic dirt disposal. No need to open anything and memorize the last time you did it manually; this vacuum is as smart as it gets.
Smart Navigating System
Roomba is a “robot” vacuum for a reason. Not only does it clean up after your pets, but it – literally – knows every nook and cranny of your house and maps it out for an impeccable cleanup. The vSLAM navigation system allows it to clean in neat rows instead of going over the same spot again and again.
The Careful Drive Mode is another feature you’ll absolutely love. It utilizes a 3D sensor to detect any objects in the path and carefully clean around them. In plain words, your dog’s bowl will not get overthrown, making an even bigger mess.
Great, but what about the corners? Don’t worry, the pet hair won’t be stockpiling there anymore. Roomba comes with the PerfectEdge technology for recognizing corners and edges. Next, the unique Corner Brush will take care of those hard-to-reach areas on the top level.
The iRobot Home app or voice assistant, you can give commands to your Roomba from a distance. If you choose to install the app, it will suggest personal cleaning schedules – for example, during the shedding season.
Summing up, this hi-tech vacuum cleaner is a real dream for every pet owner.

Shark RV912S
Eliminates Pet Leftovers
Your cat or dog brings you many happy moments… but they also shed. If you’re too tired to clean your carpets and floors, consider getting the Shark self-cleaning robot, and you won’t regret it.
Let’s start with the fact that Shark has powerful suction to deal with pet hair clusters, small and large debris, and the stuck carpet dust. You would hardly expect this level of power from a device of such small size. Time to win the hair battle against your pets – and get yourself a well-deserved break during the shedding season.
This smart vacuum knows its way around and won’t get hopelessly stuck against a pile of rugs. It cleans methodically and in straight rows, unlike some other vacuums that drain the battery by running in chaotic circles. As a result, it doesn’t need frequent recharges and achieves more with less effort.
With that in mind, Shark doesn’t really impress in terms of battery life. On the positive side, it returns to the base for a recharge automatically.
If you want a super-customized cleanup, you can purchase separate boundary strips. They let you mark the spaces where the vacuum shouldn’t go; the pet feeding area, for example.
A Multipurpose Vacuum
Now to the upscale filtration system in this unit. Shark features a multistage system to efficiently trap the dander, dust, and allergens. Great news for cat/dog owners, or simply those that prefer living in a healthier environment.
This vacuum can cover multiple surfaces without breaking a sweat. Carpets, rugs, hardwood floors – all will be cleaned of the pet hair and debris. The brushroll is effective and can be easily removed for a cleanup. Yes, the long hair may get stuck on the brush, but that’s a very common problem.
So how about the corners? Shark can handle them like a pro thanks to the dual spinning brushes on the side. Now you won’t have to go over the corners or edges manually; everything will get clean and shiny from the first try.
The vacuum can be controlled via an app or through your voice assistant (Alexa and Google are supported). Control the vac from anywhere in the house, and it will do your bidding.
Finally, when the vacuum is all full, it will return to the base and deposit the debris. Ideal for households with multiple pets, where new hair supplies arrive regularly.
Overall, the Shark robot vacuum keeps your pet-friendly house clean and fresh at any time.

iRobot Roomba 675
Affordable and Automated
The Roomba Robot Vacuums have been around for a while now, first making a splash a few years ago when they burst onto the scene. However, people quickly discovered that these automated vacuums had some shortcomings, namely in price. Having an automated vacuum cleaner was an expensive proposition, with most models costing hundreds of dollars, putting them out of the range of many families. However, since those early days, the prices have come down to a more affordable range.
The iRobot Roomba 675 Robot Vacuum is a great example of an automated vacuum cleaner that is affordable for most families. Featuring a three-stage cleaning system along with dual multi-surface brushes, this small but powerful vacuum cleaner is able to clean a house with little trouble at all. Even the toughest dirt and hair can be easily cleaned up, as this vacuum cleaner packs a lot of power in its small size.
Works Wonders in Your Home
This automated vacuum includes plenty of features that give it the ability to do a thorough cleaning. The vacuum includes Roomba's patented Dirt Detector sensors, which let the vacuum detect the dirtiest parts of your floor or carpet, and it will spend extra time on those areas to ensure they get a thorough cleaning. The included intelligent sensors let the vacuum easily move around obstacles in your home, as well as moving underneath furniture. However, these sensors are also able to detect when furniture has too low of a clearance for it to safely pass under, so there is no need to worry about it getting stuck.

A Vac for Your Own Home
Tired of rescuing your robot vacuum as it gets stuck here and there? Solve this – and the pet shedding problem – with the RoboVac smart vacuum. It’s powerful and portable, seamlessly navigating through your house.
RoboVac maps out your living space using the Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0. Unlike some other robot vacs, this model cleans methodically in long straight lines. You can even follow its route in real time via the app. The only downside here is that the vacuum sometimes treats the sunlit patches as physical objects.
Whether you have one or three cats/dogs at home, RoboVac is ready for the challenge. The strong suction helps remove short as well as long animal hair from various surfaces (hardwood floors, carpets, ceramic tiles, etc.). Finally you can sit back and relax while this device does all the dirty work.
But what about the debris? Don’t worry, the 2000Pa suction has enough power to lift and suck it in. If your critter has left a good mess on the floor, the vac will come to the rescue. You’ll be downright impressed at how much cleaner your entire house becomes.
Clean From Your Smartphone
Where other robot vacuums get stuck or disoriented, RoboVac proudly takes the lead. With the height of 2.85 inches, it can easily clean under the furniture. The noise level is also low at <56 dB, which means it won’t disturb your family or pets, and you will hardly notice it moving around.
RoboVac is your smart cleaning assistant, and here’s why. It’s compatible with the Alexa and Google voice assistants, and can be controlled via an app. Yes, the latter could do with some updates, but it works fine on most smartphones. When a cleaning round is done, you can double check where and when the vacuum has been. Not that you’ll have to send it on a second round, though.
If the vac finds a difficult spot, it will automatically increase the suction strength. This is called the BoostIQ technology, and it works wonders. It only takes the unit 1.5 seconds to switch on the “superhero” cleaning mode.
When a recharge is due, RoboVac will return to the charging base for a nice power-up. It does so automatically, but be aware that it sometimes loses its way when the base happens to be in another room.
As evident, this smart vacuum cleaner is a big helper if you have one or many animals at home.

iLife V3s Pro
Focuses on Picking up Pet Hairs
If you're looking for a simple and affordable pet vacuum without all those extra frills, the iLife V3s Pro is a solid fit. Of course, it's not a fully-fledged vacuum for spring cleans, yet, it does its main job perfectly. It can give you an extra help at removing dirt and pet hair around the house. The vac works especially great in small apartments with hardwood floors and a few rugs and carpets. The iLife V3 robot is a maneuverable vacuum that can easily get around obstacles. Unlike similar cleaners in its price range, it goes easily around table legs yet it's not able to reach 90-degree corners and conquer the largest transition between tile floors and hardwood floors. Besides just sucking up what's on the floor, this vac can also mop it. The trick is that it comes with a snap-on mopping attachment which can be secured to the bottom via the Velcro. We would like to note that it's one of few robot cleaners which offer an extra mopping function. The mop adds to the versatility and ease of use significantly.
With a handy remote, you can quickly select the setting you need. If you want to clean mainly around the edges, you can set the Edge mode, and the vac will pay particular attention to sucking in everything along the walls. In Auto mode, the robot starts in the middle of the room and continues cleaning until the battery almost runs out of power, and when it does, it docks itself automatically. The cleaner has an amazing battery life. The 2.600-mAh battery can last up to 90 minutes.
With regards to the frustrating features, there's one thing that did swing to us - a dustbin. Unlike its rivals, the iLife V3s Pro has it quite deep inside, under the pop-up flap, and to empty it you will need to fiddle with it a bit - pull it out by its handle, remove the lid, take the filter out, and dump its contents. Other than that, though, there is little to complain about and we can certainly say that iLife V3s Pro is more than up to the task when it comes to collecting pet hair.
Elegant Design
The iLife V3s has a sleek, nice design. It's a good option for those who want something modern and well-made. The chassis has a white/gray/black trim to suit any interior. At 11.8" in dia and 3" high, the V3s vac is one of the most compact robotic vacuums on the market. Needless to say, it easily fits underneath couches, bed frames, and dressers.
This little unit has front obstacle sensors, "cliff sensors", and a durable plastic bumper to ensure a long life of the appliance. The vac doesn't feature a primary rolling brush but it has two spinning brushes to catch all the dirt and debris. They move even the smallest particles into the "mouth" of the vacuum.

What Is a Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair?
If you're a pet owner, you know for sure how quickly pet hair spreads across the house, especially during those hot summer months. If you want to put an end to those taxing cleanups, we recommend considering a special robot vacuum for pet hair. With this vac cleaner, you won't need to do a thing. After you program it, the vac will clean your entire house and make sure no dander, pet, dust or any other source of dirt is left untouched. The advantage of robotic vacs for pet hair is that they incorporate many smart features and technologies allowing them to easily bypass bumps, rugs, edges and other obstacles that may appear on its way, thus eliminating the need of any user input. So, they can bring real convenience and freedom to your life.
To help you find the model that will suit you best, we've researched dozens of models and picked only those that have gained great ratings from users by different parameters. This review covers the top five models from a different price range so that you can definitely find one that matches your budget.
If it's not only floors that you regularly need to clean, we recommend you to consider handheld models too. Admittedly, they are less convenient to use on floors than robotic vacuum cleaners, however, they can prove much more useful when you need to clean cushioned furniture or in your vehicle, helpful if you have a long-haired dog or cat.
While on the note of unique vacuum cleaners, we recommend checking out bug vacs as well. Wonder what are they and how do they work? Then take a look.
What Features to Compare
Smart Functionality
First and foremost, you need to pay attention to the intelligence of a robot vac. By this, we mean the navigation technology and cleaning pattern. The smarter the vac, the more effective its cleaning pattern is. Manufacturers do their best to provide their vacs with useful features and extra attachments which would make them stand out from the competition. For instance, most high-end models feature special bumpers with infrared sensors that prevent them from falling down the stairs and collisions, thereby protecting your furniture from damage. Moreover, most robots are able to detect the dirtiest sports and clean them more thoroughly.
Each robot vac has its own patterns. Those on a lower price side would usually feature two standard patterns such as "Along the wall" and "Chaotic". More expensive models, in turn, will offer you at least 10 (some even more) as well as will be able to clean in a spiral and zigzag patterns, allowing you to get rid of debris even in hard-to-reach spots. The smartest vacuums can even create a map of your house with all the objects included so that they can avoid them, thus speeding up the cleaning process.
Cleaning Area
Each robot vac has its recommended cleaning area according to its operation time per a single charge. Speaking of the run time, it is determined by the vac battery type and its charging time: the higher the battery capacity is, the larger the area the vac will be able to clean. When the battery charge drops low, a robot vacuum automatically returns to its charging base.
Extras
Finally, pay attention to extra features a robotic vac offers. One of the most popular functions that can be found in robot vacs is mopping. Another one is a UV lamp, helpful if you also want to disinfect your flat or house and clean the surfaces of bacteria, germs, and allergens that might abide there. Speaking of robot vacs for pet hair, both these functions are a must since without them you'll not be able to get rid of all dander and pet hair that might linger around. Finally, check out a filtration system. Vacs for pet hair should be equipped with HEPA filters that are able to trap allergens and even fine particles of dust. By buying a vac robot with all these little but important features, not only will you facilitate your household chores a lot, but also you will improve your indoor conditions by eliminating all triggers of respiratory problems and allergies.
Did you know?
The Highest Rate of Pet Ownership
According to the Guinness World Records, Australia is the country with the highest rate of pet ownership. More than 60% of families there have at least one pet, typically a cat or dog. 83% of Australian people owned a pet in their whole life. And 20% of Australian pet owners have insurance for their four-legged friends.
Yet, according to the newest online surveys, the pet ownership is currently the highest in Latin America where 80% of the population own a pet. In the US, around 70 % of households have a pet.
Asian countries have the smallest percentage of pets living with people.
Dogs or Cats?
A third of the population across the world has reported having a dog compared to 23% of cat owners. Dogs are the most popular pet in Argentina, while cats are the most widespread in Russia. Romania has the most balanced cat/dog ratio with 45% of households with dogs and 45% owning cats.
Costly!
The people in the USA spend more than $50 billion annually on their lovely pets. And 36% of Americans give their pets birthday presents. And no wonder that 9 out of 10 Americans claim that they consider their favorite pet as a part of their family.
The Most Pet-friendly Countries
France is the country of dog lovers and you can see dogs just anywhere there. Dogs are even welcome in shops, cafés, bars, and markets.
Aussies also have lots of places where dogs are welcome, including beautiful beaches and parks. The exceptions are national parks. Dogs are also allowed in public transport if the transportation rules are strictly followed.
Another country with lots of animal lovers is England. You are allowed to take your pets to the underground, parks, and some museums. Dogs just should be kept on their leashes.
Austria is a leading country in stopping animal cruelty. There is a ban on selling cats and dogs at pet stores as well as some guidelines against training methods that involves force.
Hungary also wants the best for their animals and requires that dogs should necessarily get a minimum required amount of exercise daily. Also, pets there are microchipped and should undergo frequent medical checkups. Pets are welcome at restaurants in Hungary.
The Netherlands is one more country where you can freely take your pet with you to shops, restaurants, and cafés.
All pet owners in Switzerland are required to get pet insurance, and there are also some rules preventing cruelty to dogs during training. Moreover, Swiss airlines allow people to take small dogs in the aircraft cabin.
Canadian people love pets as much as we do but unlike European countries, it's not permitted to take pets to restaurants in Canada. Yet, our neighbors have numerous spas for dogs and full-service pet daycares.
