- Picks up everything in it's path, charges in minutes, and has a "max power" feature that even makes vacuuming cool! Highly recommend!
- What can I say.... its a dyson! This handheld came free with my vacuum that I got for Christmas. I love it!!! Suction is great and features are great!!
- This is great for picking up after our 3 messy parrots who throw chewed up pieces of wooden toys, uneaten pellets, and nuts on the floor (it is not intended to pick up liquids or wet products).
- I use it most for the chinchilla cage and works great cleaning stairs and the couch and chair with attachment for dog and cat hair.
- The motor is powerful and quite light weight but I found it a trifle noisy.
- Great suction, and a large improvement over previous handhelds I've owned. On MAX mode the suction on it is exceptional for a handheld, far beyond anything I've experienced with a handheld vacuum in the past.
- On regular mode, it's more than enough suction for handling most common handheld vacuum tasks.
- Cyclone design seems to pick up more fine dust than I'd expect for a handheld, works fine even as the bin fills up.
- The filter is very easy to remove and clean.
- The central filter for the vacuum does need to be cleaned once a month and allowed to dry for at least 24 hours. A replacement filter can be bought directly from Dyson.
- The unit is compact and light weight. I'm so happy I bought it.
- The bin is sized right for the running time. Handle, weight, trigger, and balance work well for me.
- The weight of the unit is perfect and it does an alright job of sucking but could have more suction.
- The reason I bought this product is because it is very light weight and very powerful one so far.
- Fantastic! Light weight, multiple attachments. Use for vacuuming stairs, cleaning craft/desk area. Perfect for lamp shades! All in all a great little handheld vacuum.
- It is super light weight, minimal sound output (compared to other vacuums), cordless, easy to empty the receptacle, has a cool ray gun look.
- Very light wieght. Easy hold in one hand and empty. Very powerful on high setting.
- The design is awesome, even compared to the previous Dyson handhelds. My inner 10 year old makes me feel like I'm blasting dust with some futuristic space gun.
- Small size makes it easy to get into tight spots like the backseat floor of my car.
- Lightweight and balanced, doesn't wear out my arm.
- The feature of never losing suction and the ability to just dump the refuse in the trash with the push of a button is superb.
- There are two attachments that come with the vacuum to help get into smaller areas.
- This hand-held vacuum is powerful and well-designed. The dirt holder is easy to empty and the two attachments work very well.
- I love the flexibility of hose attachments with our other Dyson DC41.
- It's pathetic that this expensive a vacuum has such pathetic narrow attachments. You really cannot vacuum a small rug with this unit -- even a small section of rug took so much time just because the brush is so infernally narrow.
- Dust bin is easy to empty. Can be a little messy, but just hold it over the trash bin correctly and it won't be too bad.
- The combo brush/flat nozzle works well, and the brush section stays on and doesn't budge when I use. This tends to be a common problem for other handheld vacuums I've had in the past.
- Boost mode has considerable suction.
- I like it comes with the combo attachment and the narrow attachment.
- Attachments are short, so you'll have to stoop or kneel while using this on the floor.
- The battery holds up really well.
- Good battery life and suction. Vastly superior to the Dustbuster I owned previously on every dimension.
- The one reason it didn't get five stars is the battery life. While they advertise 15 or 16 minutes as battery life, I'm lucky to get anything over ten minutes of cleaning per charge.
- The only issue I have with the Dyson DC34 is the short battery life. Only 6 minutes using at max power is way to little.
- Battery runs out too quickly and can't replace it with last longer genetic brand.
- Battery life is very solid on it, provided you're using it on normal mode. As advertised, you get over 20 minutes of use from it on normal mode, provided you're not continuously holding down the button the whole time. At MAX you get around 5-6 minutes.
- Quick charge-up (3.5 hours) using provided charger.
- Battery life greater than advertised (Dyson claims 20 mins at normal, 6 mins at "Boost")
- The power - there's not much of it. Don't expect to suck up any big leaves with it.
- Short battery life on high power.
