- It is lightweight enough and i can easy take it away after working.
- Amazing value in my opinion, and powerful for its surprising light weight.
- This is the perfect chop saw for a do-it-yourselfer like me. It's got good weight to it, so it doesn't shift around at all and worked flawlessly right out of the box.
- It is relatively light weight, easy to carry and job-site rugged.
- Solidly built, reasonable price, right on with the 45s angles, good stock blade (prob will upgrade to 40 or 50 tooth blade), its pretty compact and light weight.
- Heavy, great for a fixed setup. Stiff.
- Pretty light weight and easy to grab and move (if needed).
- Light weight, great capacity and a nice built in work light as well.
- I liked the form factor and weight is great for a 12" saw.
- Heavy, a pain to move.
- 12" blade. upgraded from a 10" so this is a big deal for me. i can cut a thru 4X4 in one pass.
- The saw has very good compound angle indents and very securely locks. night and day difference compared to my old ryobi.
- Solid angle adjustment feel with good detants.
- Excellent angle locking mechanism. MUCH improved from older model.
- The miter locks (detents) were among the best I tested of all the brands. Very tight. This thing cut exact 90 & 45's right out of the box.
- The bevel adjustment is a little awkward but i don't think it's much better on any other miter saw
- Basically 0 runout with my forest blade. Cuts those 12" panels like a breeze.
- R side cut to 60 degrees is super nice and extremely handy for larger than normal miter's - Left side to a little over 50 is also nice.
- R & L miter "click" stops for angles are also very accurate.
- The quality and accuracy of the cuts produced are great and the saw seems to have plenty of power.
- When using the depth stop the blade doesn't cut all the way to the fence, so have to use spacers in there.
- I found that the saw does not cut accurate 45 degree miters and the 45 degree detents are not adjustable. You either have accurate 90 degree cuts or one accurate 45 degree cut.
- Maybe not a big deal for others but i was pleasantly surprised with an ergonomic handle. i have medium hands and the handle fits great in my hand.
- Horizontal handle and positive trigger are a big plus.
- Smooth operation. The belt drive is quieter and smoother. I like this a little more than the operation of my Delta.
- Dust port is a joke. will be hacking it with some cardboard in the future.
- The folding lock is a small aluminium knob. would be more convenient to have a bigger knob
- No soft-start motor, almost all others in this class offer this. The saw arm seriously jerks up when started.
- Powerful, easy to set up and adjust, accurate using the advanced XPS cross cut positioning system, fairly good dust collection port.
- The LED light works great and is extremely accurate.
- My favorite feature is the XPS cross cut positioning system that lights the blade from both sides so you get a shadow of the actual kerf you are about to cut. Very nice!
- Hold down clamp is hard to use, slides are not as smooth as they should be.
- Tilt tightening screw is a bit cheesy. I have to get two hands on it and grunt to get it tight.
- Dust collection does not grab everything - even when I built an encasement and added a Jet dust collector. It does get most, but not all.
