- It's got good weight to it, so it doesn't shift around at all and worked flawlessly right out of the box.
- It is relatively light weight, easy to carry and job-site rugged.
- Really like the light weight compared to what I used to use for many years.
- This saw works great. Is just the right size and weight.
- I recommend this saw for its build quality, accuracy, compactness, light weight (50lbs approximately) which make it easy to take to and move around a job site.
- Heavy, great for a fixed setup. Stiff.
- Pretty light weight and easy to grab and move (if needed).
- Light weight, great capacity and a nice built in work light as well.
- I liked the form factor and weight is great for a 12" saw.
- Heavy, a pain to move.
- Pretty happy with this saw...definitely an upgrade from my 10" Ryobi. The 12" saw makes cutting larger baseboard a lot easier, and this saw has very nice power (it slices through a 2x4 like butter).
- Saw cuts pretty true, right out of the box and is also pretty easy to adjust. Very impressed with the amount of miter cut available and much quieter and smoother than my old Dewalt compound miter. Very worthwhile purchase for a home shop.
- It cuts confidently and smoothly. I did replace the blade that came w/ the saw with a better one (carbide and more teeth).
- Cuts smooth and straight. I am a hardwood installer who needs a well built tough saw and this cuts hardwood like butter. Great for tall baseboards. It will cut all the way through on 45 miter cut with 5 1/2 baseboard with room to spare.
- Four stars because this saw will NOT cut 14 inches as advertised unless you take off the fence and fabricate a tale top to allow the saw to cut its maximum amount.
- Basically 0 runout with my forest blade. Cuts those 12" panels like a breeze.
- R side cut to 60 degrees is super nice and extremely handy for larger than normal miter's - Left side to a little over 50 is also nice.
- R & L miter "click" stops for angles are also very accurate.
- The quality and accuracy of the cuts produced are great and the saw seems to have plenty of power.
- When using the depth stop the blade doesn't cut all the way to the fence, so have to use spacers in there.
- I found that the saw does not cut accurate 45 degree miters and the 45 degree detents are not adjustable. You either have accurate 90 degree cuts or one accurate 45 degree cut.
- The detent over-ride and lock out feature is nice and allows the saw to be easily and quickly locked on to uncommon settings.
- The non-sliding feature allows you to place the saw closer to a wall. Dust collection is good but not great.
- I love the 5-second brake feature and it comes with a little bag you can place over the exhaust to help control dust.
- The brake is works great, slow and stopping the blade when release the power button.
- One inconvenient feature for me is the blade guard, its bulky and slightly annoying lining up cuts without a laser sight.
- The dust bag that comes with the saw is useless.
- Powerful, easy to set up and adjust, accurate using the advanced XPS cross cut positioning system, fairly good dust collection port.
- The LED light works great and is extremely accurate.
- My favorite feature is the XPS cross cut positioning system that lights the blade from both sides so you get a shadow of the actual kerf you are about to cut. Very nice!
- Hold down clamp is hard to use, slides are not as smooth as they should be.
- Tilt tightening screw is a bit cheesy. I have to get two hands on it and grunt to get it tight.
- Dust collection does not grab everything - even when I built an encasement and added a Jet dust collector. It does get most, but not all.
