Vitamix 5300
Vitamix 6300
- This machine is very simple to operate; the only variable available is the speed. I load up the jar, insert the tamper, start on lowest speed and when the big chunks are pulverized I increase the speed and let it blend at high for 20-30 seconds.
- Frozen berries are quickly done and at the high speed, seeds and steel cut oats turn particulate.
- The blade speed and power are just incredible. Vegetable and fruit peels and seeds are no match. You chuck it in there and turn it to 10 (vitamix should make it go to 11). Buy this immediately!
- This blender is a big, hungry beast! There is nothing it can't take down (within reason, of course)! One of the strongest motors we've ever seen, and turns out a very SMOOTH product! Very large capacity!
- Low-profile 64 ounce container that comes with it is unusable for 1-2 servings. Our reconditioned unit broke after 3 uses.
- Makes perfectly smooth drinks, no matter what you toss in. I used to have to take the stems off the kale or other leafy greens. Not anymore. No matter what I put in, it comes out perfectly smooth. Healthier and faster.
- I am still in love with my vitamix and I use the preset options almost as much as I use the manual speed control. It easily handles everything we have thrown in it from hot soups to frozen desserts.
- The time taken to whip up the dishes was ridiculously less - about 1 min MAX.
- It has a pulse button, an on and off switch and a speed control. They did not re-invent the wheel...just made it better..It costs more, but to me it has been worth it
- Pretty loud. But I don't think it would be possible to get this much power with less noise. I actually kind of like it.
- Seems like an extremely durable piece of equipment. Great for daily use.
- The shorter container fits under my upper cabinets, so it doesn't take up any more space than the replaced blender occupied.
- The blender itself is very heavy duty. The container is relatively wide and short, which makes it easy to use, clean and store.
- It is pretty heavy so smaller folks may have some trouble.
- Built like a tank. Feels like it could be used for hours in a Jamba Juice without batting an eye.
- It's durable and not a very huge.
- This is a NOISY, heavy, too tall processor that you could NEVER use in an apt or small space.
- Large in size - True, this thing is big.
- CRUSHES ice. This was my biggest complaint for my previous blender. Makes perfect smoothies, margaritas, etc.
- The 3 controls is a significant improvement over the 8 speed-selecting buttons on the front that were hard to keep clean.
- The pulse feature on the blender is great! I've made pesto, salsa and other things with this feature!
- The wide container is my favorite feature because it makes cleanup a breeze. My smoothie game has been raised to a 10. It also comes with a great recipe book for non-smoothie uses.
- Pre-programmed settings are great. Toss my stuff in, set on 'smoothie', and it finishes when done. Just like in the smoothie shops.
- Easy to clean. You don't have to take the bottom off to clean it. Instructions say to add water and run on low, but I usually just rinse it out immediately after use.
- Awesome cookbook comes with it, gives tons of soup, smoothie, pancake, etc. ideas. Have done a few already (squash soup...yum).
- The best feature of this product is the preprogrammed settings of smoothies, frozen, and hot soup.
- Very powerful (when using large quantities). Great value. Looks great on counter.
- I'm very pleased with my blender selection. It is a very powerful machine; It is significantly better than the old-fashioned blender that I had.
- Quieter , more powerful , lower and wider canister profile , bigger wider blades , and the added pulse option are all very welcome upgrades .
- Love the blending power! Handles kale smoothies like a dream!
- The motor is so powerful the food will actually start to heat up after too long as a result of the friction caused by the blades.
- Very powerful. Great value. Looks great on counter.
- Love the blending power! Handles kale smoothies like a dream!
- I'm very pleased with my blender selection. It is a very powerful machine
- Loud - not to the point of making me leave the kitchen, but it's noticeable, with the pre-set settings, I can just leave and comeback after it's done.
