Vitamix 5200
Vitamix 6300
- Shreds everything you put in it (usually works best with a good amount of fruits/vegetables with high water content).
- Easily adjust speed to achieve a variety of textures. The dial can be rotated at any point during the blend, so you’re in complete control.
- The very large capacity 8+ cup mixing vessel is made of a strong plastic which makes it lighter than expected. The blade assembly is sharp and sturdy.
- This blender has a variable speed rheostat so you have very good control and it also has a max speed mode which is faster than max-variable.
- For things that you want to blend carefully you have to learn the blender's speed settings. It doesn't have automated settings like "chop" "puree" etc, its just numbers. I tried making a blended coffee with milk and it got whipped up a little more than I would have liked.
- Makes perfectly smooth drinks, no matter what you toss in. I used to have to take the stems off the kale or other leafy greens. Not anymore. No matter what I put in, it comes out perfectly smooth. Healthier and faster.
- I am still in love with my vitamix and I use the preset options almost as much as I use the manual speed control. It easily handles everything we have thrown in it from hot soups to frozen desserts.
- The time taken to whip up the dishes was ridiculously less - about 1 min MAX.
- It has a pulse button, an on and off switch and a speed control. They did not re-invent the wheel...just made it better..It costs more, but to me it has been worth it
- Pretty loud. But I don't think it would be possible to get this much power with less noise. I actually kind of like it.
- itamix jar has a nice rubber handle and solid feel to it. Feels heavy and substantial.
- The plastic base exterior is solid and heavy.
- It is relatively heavy because it is quality.
- The size and shape of the 64-ounce container is ideal for blending medium to large batches.
- Built like a tank. Feels like it could be used for hours in a Jamba Juice without batting an eye.
- It's durable and not a very huge.
- This is a NOISY, heavy, too tall processor that you could NEVER use in an apt or small space.
- Large in size - True, this thing is big.
- VERY easy to clean! I was impressed that almost nothing sticks to the pitcher. Of course using sticky stuff like whey or peanut butter will require a bit more cleaning, but when I am just using veggies or fruit I can just rinse it out with some water.
- Not as loud as many would have you believe. It's a blender, people. It sounds like a BLENDER. I'd put it a titch louder than your everyday blender, but the tradeoff is worth it.
- The container is shatter-proof, and it is BPA-Free which is another huge plus. The parts are dishwasher safe.
- Vitamix features a damper, which was nice when the contents stick.
- The plastic top can be annoying to remove from the jar.
- Pre-programmed settings are great. Toss my stuff in, set on 'smoothie', and it finishes when done. Just like in the smoothie shops.
- Easy to clean. You don't have to take the bottom off to clean it. Instructions say to add water and run on low, but I usually just rinse it out immediately after use.
- Awesome cookbook comes with it, gives tons of soup, smoothie, pancake, etc. ideas. Have done a few already (squash soup...yum).
- The best feature of this product is the preprogrammed settings of smoothies, frozen, and hot soup.
- Powerful enough for thick recipes, like hummus.
- This machine is even more powerful than my current machine, so I'm thrilled with this purchase.
- Love the cord wonder under the base. Lots of power for smoothies and crushing ice.
- The cord is exceptionally long, and it reaches any of my outlets (of which i have few).
- As far as it's functionality, it has an incredibly powerful motor that crushes ice instantly.
- Very powerful. Great value. Looks great on counter.
- Love the blending power! Handles kale smoothies like a dream!
- I'm very pleased with my blender selection. It is a very powerful machine
- Loud - not to the point of making me leave the kitchen, but it's noticeable, with the pre-set settings, I can just leave and comeback after it's done.
