Vitamix 5200
Vitamix 7500
- Shreds everything you put in it (usually works best with a good amount of fruits/vegetables with high water content).
- Easily adjust speed to achieve a variety of textures. The dial can be rotated at any point during the blend, so you’re in complete control.
- The very large capacity 8+ cup mixing vessel is made of a strong plastic which makes it lighter than expected. The blade assembly is sharp and sturdy.
- This blender has a variable speed rheostat so you have very good control and it also has a max speed mode which is faster than max-variable.
- For things that you want to blend carefully you have to learn the blender's speed settings. It doesn't have automated settings like "chop" "puree" etc, its just numbers. I tried making a blended coffee with milk and it got whipped up a little more than I would have liked.
- Makes hot soup in 6 - 8 minutes and blends dry grains into fine powder.
- I wanted the pulse button (because I have used that feature a lot with my Cuisinart) as well as the variable speed dial and the shorter, low profile jar. This Vitamix is fantastic.
- The container has more than enough capacity for my personal needs. The motor is more than capable of handling the raw or frozen fruits & veggies I put in it.
- After buying this 7500 I was very disappointed this model is just as loud as to 5200...and the speed is the same as the 5200 as it was stated in the write up.
- Top speed seems to be a bit less, so some foods like hummus don't become as smooth.
- itamix jar has a nice rubber handle and solid feel to it. Feels heavy and substantial.
- The plastic base exterior is solid and heavy.
- It is relatively heavy because it is quality.
- The size and shape of the 64-ounce container is ideal for blending medium to large batches.
- Nothing compares to this product. Heavy, Durable and works better then anything I’ve ever bought seems expensive yet it’s worth every penny.
- The base is heavy and solid, with good feel to the controls.
- Very versatile and powerful. Heavy and well constructed.
- It is a little bulky and I wish the machine was a little quieter, but overall I'm happy with my purchase.
- VERY easy to clean! I was impressed that almost nothing sticks to the pitcher. Of course using sticky stuff like whey or peanut butter will require a bit more cleaning, but when I am just using veggies or fruit I can just rinse it out with some water.
- Not as loud as many would have you believe. It's a blender, people. It sounds like a BLENDER. I'd put it a titch louder than your everyday blender, but the tradeoff is worth it.
- The container is shatter-proof, and it is BPA-Free which is another huge plus. The parts are dishwasher safe.
- Vitamix features a damper, which was nice when the contents stick.
- The plastic top can be annoying to remove from the jar.
- Love the video instructions that came with this blender (such an ordinary name for something so extraordinary!). They made me feel like a pro.
- It's easy to clean. Fill it up with water and a drop of soap (and for me occasionally I'll add a little white vinegar to get something greasy off of it) and let it whirl.
- It has a 7 year warranty and they stand by their product. Made in the USA. I'm happy with that!!
- It's super easy to clean - just don't use anything abrasive, it will scratch the plastic and I highly recommend avoiding the dishwasher. Hand wash only!
- Crapped out making soup after 8th use. Have barely had it a year. Electrical smell and Motor froze after only using pulse mode.
- Powerful enough for thick recipes, like hummus.
- This machine is even more powerful than my current machine, so I'm thrilled with this purchase.
- Love the cord wonder under the base. Lots of power for smoothies and crushing ice.
- The cord is exceptionally long, and it reaches any of my outlets (of which i have few).
- As far as it's functionality, it has an incredibly powerful motor that crushes ice instantly.
- Awesome! fast, powerful and EASY to CLEAN!
- I had the 5200 for about 6 years and liked it very much. Vitamix had a trade in program which I took advantage of. The 7500 is more powerful, fits under the counter, and I wanted red.
- It is a wonderful, powerful blender that surpasses all others and the nice wide container is easy to empty and clean.
- Powerful motor that blends smoothies and frozen drinks better than my previously owned blenders.
- The powerful motor has no problem with frozen fruit/veggies, making awesome smoothies (use it almost every day!).
