After looking at lots of reviews and different scanners, I️ finally settled on this one. I️ have been very happy with its performance.
This is the best scanner I've ever owned, it will not disappoint
The ES-500W produces quality one-sided or double-sided scanned images at any resolution (200, 300 or 600 dpi), with impressive sharpness for both text and images as well as solid distinction between colors.
It would be great if the resolution were higher for scanned photos and illustrations but for documents, this thing is fast and reliable.

It scan documents rapidly. The quality is excellent.
Oh and if you scan a document that the software app believes a problem exist, it provides you an option to keep it and continue scanning. I can't say enough positive about this scanner.
This scanner is fabulous. It scans quickly. It scans papers even if you have sticky notes or receipts attached to them. It auto detects 2 sided sheets and scans both sides with one pass through. I am very happy with it.
Performs well. Scans quickly and clearly. Easy options to scan to - pdf, cloud, file...really whatever you want. touch of a button operation. nice heavy duty feeling construction.
I am scanning tax returns with various sized documents, and the scanner accommodates the various sizes without any issues. I also am moving our household to a paperless environment so I scan almost daily. The device is great. I highly recommend it.

The main thing I need in a scanner is something that is very fast with decent resolution. Most of the documents that I need to scan are text documents so I could set it to the lower resolution and it was very fast.
Scans to BITMAP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, Multi-TIFF, PDF and Searchable PDF. Scanned output is clean and easy to read, I've had no complaints from any of my clients regarding clarity or readability.
The ES-500W also works great for scanning receipts and other miscellaneous paperwork lying about your home, scanning is fast and efficient, it's been excellent for getting rid of all the clutter on and around my desk.
This scanner works great for small offices that need to scan docs. quick. Easy setup with usb or wireless network. Great buy.
Great multi feed desk top scanner. Works well when I need a quick scan and subsequently email documents.

I love that I can put a stack of paper in the feeder and the scanner will feed them through smoothly, straightening the image, scanning the backs if needed, and it does it quickly.
As advertised. Works great. Love it! Best feature is auto correcting the image if it's scanned slightly crooked.
The ScanSnap scanner was easy to install and very easy to use. It works great for all the items I need to scan.
The document feeder auto detects two pages going through at the same time within 99% accuracy. Bonus benefit is it's wireless connectivity.
I had difficulty setting it up on a new MacBook Pro because the MacBook does not have a USB connection which is required for set up.

This scanner is excellent. It has many features, but it is very easy to set up and easy to use. It also has an awesome text enhancement feature, so even papers and documents that were formerly blurry become easy to read and see after being scanned.
Creating the scan job through the Document Capture Pro software is easy
The wireless connectivity has been perfect. It's so nice to be able to locate the scanner in a convenient place and not be bound to having a USB cable connected to my laptop.
The instructions for setup were easy to follow and connecting the scanner to my wireless network was fast and painless using the WPS function on the scanner and my WiFi router.
The one issue I️ had was trying to hook it up wirelessly and just ended up using the cable to connect it to the computer.
