- This is a decent scanner for a small office. It does scan pretty fast. The software is not too terribly bad, but is much slower than ScanSnap software if you comparing the two.
- This scanner seems to be a solidly built piece of hardware. It has full roller assemblies top and bottom for separating pages. We have had it about a week and have already run about 600 pages through it. Every page feeds perfect every time.
- Nice. Never had a scanner that goes so fast. I have it scanning to a Virtual Machine inside my Linux box and it works great.
- The DS-510 is a multi-document duplex scanner, complete with capture software and USB cable connection.
- Never thought of getting an Epson product before. All of that has changed. It really does do 25 ppm. Double-sided documents are also 25 ppm, so that's 50 ppm. If I want high resolution (600 ppi), that slows it down a little bit.
- I bought another cheaper scanner for my business and it was horrible so I spent the extra money and got this one. It is an absolute dream to work with.
- I have two flatbed scanners and this Fujitsu was pricey so I did a lot of research before I took the plunge and bought it. I am so glad I did.
- This is an excellent scanner! It definitely does everything I need and more!
- This is a great quality scanner and I would recommend!
- This desktop scanner quickly scans documents and then opens the images for filing. Just load your docs and press a button. That's it. A plastic sleeve easily transports smaller items, such as business cards, right through the scanner.
- Pretty soon, I will have scanned in my last 7 years of documents, all my Income Tax records, and all of my house purchase/sales records. It actually is taking more time for me to locate and organize my old records than it takes to scan them in.
- Works great!! use it very day. easy to set up and use. you can adjust the image to your liking and save it in many formats. I even used it for photos.
- It scans both sides at once if you want, making it easier to archive old paperwork, and it just shoots pages through it at an unbelievable speed.
- Excellent product. I was able to scan over 3500 pages, many of which were dual sided, with relatively little effort and minimal time. The document feeder works very well, rarely jams and immediately notifies you when it does happen.
- It works very fast. I've scanned several different thicknesses and sizes of paper and have had very few jams.
- It scan documents rapidly. The quality is excellent.
- Oh and if you scan a document that the software app believes a problem exist, it provides you an option to keep it and continue scanning. I can't say enough positive about this scanner.
- This scanner is fabulous. It scans quickly. It scans papers even if you have sticky notes or receipts attached to them. It auto detects 2 sided sheets and scans both sides with one pass through. I am very happy with it.
- Performs well. Scans quickly and clearly. Easy options to scan to - pdf, cloud, file...really whatever you want. touch of a button operation. nice heavy duty feeling construction.
- I am scanning tax returns with various sized documents, and the scanner accommodates the various sizes without any issues. I also am moving our household to a paperless environment so I scan almost daily. The device is great. I highly recommend it.
- The included ABBYY OCR software works very well, often better than more expensive software. It's a stripped down version of the full package but does qualify for a reduced cost upgrade if needed.
- The scanner also works perfectly with Adobe Acrobat. I prefer to use that over the included scanning and storage package, mostly because I use it with my other tools, not because there's anything wrong with the Epson software.
- The software works great the scanner is nice and fast. I use it to scan in invoices after they have been received so they can easily be found later.
- The hardware is perfectly fine on this scanner, and I would consider it to be nearly comparable to my Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500. However the software for the Epson is just terrible.
- The Epson scanner is a far lower quality unit - even opening the lid and paper tray is flimsy.
- I love that I can put a stack of paper in the feeder and the scanner will feed them through smoothly, straightening the image, scanning the backs if needed, and it does it quickly.
- As advertised. Works great. Love it! Best feature is auto correcting the image if it's scanned slightly crooked.
- The ScanSnap scanner was easy to install and very easy to use. It works great for all the items I need to scan.
- The document feeder auto detects two pages going through at the same time within 99% accuracy. Bonus benefit is it's wireless connectivity.
- I had difficulty setting it up on a new MacBook Pro because the MacBook does not have a USB connection which is required for set up.
