- This Nuvi 2789 is the best one I have had. Being in my early 60's, the size really helps while traveling. The brightness and the volume are really great and the voice is really clear. I would recommend the Nuvi 2789 to anyone, but to especially anyone older because of the size.
- I love the 2789. The 7 inch screen is great for aging eyes. Best to mount it on my dash than to block the windshield.
- Large, bright, readable screen. Easy user interface and "Voice Command" is very user friendly. Marked gas stations, eateries, etc. are a nice feature (and can be turned off if you desire).
- The programming and search features have been considerably improved since the 1350LMT 2010-era. The touch screen is much more responsive and easier to use. I like the wider format.
- The large screen takes up a little more real estate on the windshield that I like. Not excessive or unsafe, but uncomfortable for me.
- I found the glossy screen looks great in the house, but it gave me the same problem that others have reported. On (rare) sunny days I can see myself about as well as I can see the screen data, like a two-way security mirror.
- The display is easy to read, the features are very useful, satellites are acquired almost instantaneously.
- The display was always clear and in full color, not affected by the incoming light. The voice commands were clear, precise and always timely.
- The display is great no eye strain and the blue tooth feature is super. And easy to use.
- This is one of the best GPS I had. The display is big enough to read, so you don't have to pull your old GPS closer to look at it.
- This replaced it and I am so glad I went with the large screen. It is easier for me to see without squinting.
- I love the voice command feature. No problems so far. Love it. My first Garmin was $1200 in 2001. They have come a long way.
- Spoken Directions are much more natural and sounds less robotic even at higher volume, thanks to a larger speaker.
- Foursquare app, where you can get reviews of fellow people, so you dont get punked at the wrong establishment at an unfamiliar location.
- Pinch to zoom capability instead of tapping a + sign at the corner of the screen and re-centering the screen manually.
- Map did not include several gas stations that have been established for quite some time now.
- Kind of annoying that after all of these years the GPS does not present several routes and allow you to choose which way you prefer like maps on a smartphone.
- I really like the Phone feature in it. I had gotten use to using the one in my Jeep, but traded my Jeep and my truck does not have the GPS or phone feature.
- Things I lover are the ability to link my smartphone to the unit via Bluetooth. Makes finding address a breeze. Also having advanced traffic and weather is really great.
- The unit can link up with your smartphone by Bluetooth and make calls, havent used that feature as of yet. The unit can give you Traffic ahead alerts as well as weather reports.
- The bluetooth doesn't work very well. Very disappointed about the traffic feature which is the main reason I bought this device, it is unreliable and I still have to use Waze.
- The voice recognition is a little iffy, but with low ambient noiSe you can get it to work.
