- VERY quiet. Normal print speed, color quality is good.
- The print and graphics on these settings are clear, and I am quite happy with the speed of print.
- For the price and picture quality, plus the speed of copying, this is a very good, quiet, low vibration printer.
- We own two of these. Excellent speed. Very clear print.
- Takes way too long to begin printing and has long "cycles" in the middle of jobs, thereby reducing the actual print speed
- So, imagine my very pleasant surprise when I discovered the awesome speed and stream-lined functionality of the multi-sheet scanning feature! If one sets up a directory (in the accompanying software utilities) ahead of time, then it's as simple as loading your documents, hitting either start button
- Print speed is relatively fast in fast mode and standard mode for photos; but higher quality is slow.
- Print speed is fast while printing but it sometimes takes several minutes to get set up before it actually starts
- One of the biggest flaws about the Canon is that the print speed is slower than average. The Canon can print black and white at 15 ipm and color at 10 ipm which is slower than average.
- Very large printer, slow print speed.
- It has a higher resolution than my Photosmart, and I like the six ink tanks. The photos I have printed thus far are of excellent quality.
- The MG7720 prints at a very high COLOR RESOLUTION of 9600x2400 dpi (dots/inch).
- I do low resolution doc scanning and printing in black+white via wifi.
- The scanner resolution is better to my old Canon and the print reliability is better
- No paper feeder tray in back to easily pop in a single sheet or envelope to print like the older Pixma MX870.
- No document feeder for multi-paged scans.
- Printing photos on photo paper yields incredible results. Pictures are sharp and colors are vivid, even when printing on regular photo paper. Photos look amazing, almost to the point where they look professionally printed
- Because of the Canon, I now make personalized holiday cards on Microsoft Word and print them with the MX922 to create special cards that you just can't buy at the store.
- The print quality of the MX922 is incredible. The printer can print at resolutions of up to 9600x2400 DPI for color and 600x600 DPI for black and white documents.
- The printer workers very. I can print, scan, or copy paper with good to excellent resolution (depending on the quality setting).
- Photo color is dull, even on maximum resolution, with new ink and high-quality photo paper.
- The scanner software that comes with it is pretty crummy, with completely unhelpful directions that took too long to figure out. The specs didn't say anywhere what the max scanner resolution is. I thought it would surely be higher than my 6 year old MP600, but it only scans at 600dpi
- Inexpensive Ink. Great longevity of ink cartridges
- It does come with starter ink cartridges. I recommend to get the XL cartridges which will last longer.
- The only thing I am worried about is ink cost so we will see how quick the ink runs out and what it costs over time. Overall, I am impressed with the functions and ease of use for this printer.
- Like a lot of these printers, the ink cartridges don't seem to last long. (i now buy the "XL" - not sure if they really last longer?)
- We received all the ink cartridges but instead of getting a grey cartridge we got two black. The printer would not work without having the proper color ink cartridges inserted. We have to wait to get the proper color to get started on the actual printer
- One of the selling points on this printer for me is that it uses five separate ink cartridges - pigment ink in black for b/w document printing and dye ink in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. With individual ink cartridges, you just replace each as they empty.
- nk seems to last a long time--after the nightmarish set up requiring 1/2 ream of config printing, I thought I would have to dig into the back up cartridges I purchased up front. Not so.
- Ink is easy to replace and the cartridges have red lights which blink when low, though you can't see them unless you access the ink bay.
- I have already used up the ink that came with it, so I purchased a CISS system for it. Very easy install and works great so far.
- If any one of the ink cartridges is out it won't allow me to use the scan or fax function which is a bit confusing to me as I don't need to print anything when I'm just going to scan or fax.
- Canon ink cartridges are ridiculously expensive. In fact the cartridges currently cost more on Amazon than the printer itself (which comes with an initial set of cartridges).
- Automatically turns off when not used for a bit. Auto-on, if set, will turn back on when you go to print.
- Can keep printer tray closed until document is printed because it auto opens
- Lighter lid for placing documents on scanning bed
- The printing is great. I'm not embarrassed to do a resume on this printer. No need to sneak into work and use the laser printer they have. I haven't tried photo printing yet.
- A number of the features. I love duplex printing, I use it for almost everything. And I'm looking forward to printing from my Samsung phone, though I haven't needed to yet. And it is faster than any printer I've ever owned.
- Can only print from active Instagram feed, not from your own gallery, without Facebook work around.
- Top tray takes envelopes and photo sized paper only so only one type of letter-sized paper can be loaded at a time.
- No document feeder for multi-paged scans.
- One good thing about the ink is that you can buy XXL pigment black ink cartridges so that you can print many black and white documents using the pigment black ink.
- It is VERY easy to change paper and ink cartridges, etc.
- Ink usage is not bad - about average to most HPs - for my purposes, the ink cartridges will last 6 - 8 wks. (mainly black)
- Ink Usage - This is one of the printers biggest flaws. The MX922 goes through its ink cartridges very quickly. However, unlike other printers, the Canon will print a black and white document even if the colored ink cartridges are depleted
- The ink is too expensive
