- VERY quiet. Normal print speed, color quality is good.
- The print and graphics on these settings are clear, and I am quite happy with the speed of print.
- For the price and picture quality, plus the speed of copying, this is a very good, quiet, low vibration printer.
- We own two of these. Excellent speed. Very clear print.
- Takes way too long to begin printing and has long "cycles" in the middle of jobs, thereby reducing the actual print speed
- Compact size, prints CDs/DVDs, locally available ink (except for the gray ink), good print quality, wireless, color choice (white doesn't show the dust!), touchscreen menu, ease of use and convenience.
- Print speed is great, but the thing I love is canon has finally gotten their act together and it works great with Linux OS.
- When the printer PRINTS its excellent! I like the quality of it. The speed. The ink isn't bad maybe if I used it more frequently id say differently but, how i use it, it works great.
- Only down-side is speed. It is especially slow to "warm up" getting ready to print. Sometimes it seems like minutes before it actually starts printing. However, that said, after using it about a year (I think) I do not regret the purchase.
- Speed was fair to good, and ink didn't seem to go too fast.
- It has a higher resolution than my Photosmart, and I like the six ink tanks. The photos I have printed thus far are of excellent quality.
- The MG7720 prints at a very high COLOR RESOLUTION of 9600x2400 dpi (dots/inch).
- I do low resolution doc scanning and printing in black+white via wifi.
- The scanner resolution is better to my old Canon and the print reliability is better
- No paper feeder tray in back to easily pop in a single sheet or envelope to print like the older Pixma MX870.
- No document feeder for multi-paged scans.
- The photo quality printing is excellent. Duplex printing works very well. The scanner, though I was originally not interested in a all-in-one machine, is a very pleasant surprise, and one-button copying has been far more useful than I thought it would be.
- The photos are wonderful. Printing on high resolution paper are awesome.
- I don't like the paper feed tray. The whole tray comes out and slots back in, I would prefer it to stay in and just open and close. I don't like that if I pull it out too far, it just falls out of the printer and then I have to make sure it's lined up properly to get it back in again.
- There's no rear feed for special papers, just a small second cassette that's made for photos. I didn't even think to look for this feature, because a rear feed seems like a basic thing that all printers should have.
- The printing on plain paper are not that good when you look at details. You will see like dots around straight lines that you won't see with high res papers. I was hopping that this will be better that very low-end printers on plain papers.
- Inexpensive Ink. Great longevity of ink cartridges
- It does come with starter ink cartridges. I recommend to get the XL cartridges which will last longer.
- The only thing I am worried about is ink cost so we will see how quick the ink runs out and what it costs over time. Overall, I am impressed with the functions and ease of use for this printer.
- Like a lot of these printers, the ink cartridges don't seem to last long. (i now buy the "XL" - not sure if they really last longer?)
- We received all the ink cartridges but instead of getting a grey cartridge we got two black. The printer would not work without having the proper color ink cartridges inserted. We have to wait to get the proper color to get started on the actual printer
- Ink is significantly cheaper than HP alternative
- The ink seems to last long; I have already printed about 10 letter-size colorful photos and more than 150 pages of multi-color documents in high quality. The estimated ink level is still close to full for all colors.
- What I really love about this printer is the easy access to remove/replace the ink cartridges. A red light indicates proper seating of the small cartridges.
- Just a note, the first set of ink cartridges will be used faster than subsequent ink cartridges because of the ink necessary to fill the empty ink heads.
- Ink can get expensive with 6 cartridges to keep up with
- Automatically turns off when not used for a bit. Auto-on, if set, will turn back on when you go to print.
- Can keep printer tray closed until document is printed because it auto opens
- Lighter lid for placing documents on scanning bed
- The printing is great. I'm not embarrassed to do a resume on this printer. No need to sneak into work and use the laser printer they have. I haven't tried photo printing yet.
- A number of the features. I love duplex printing, I use it for almost everything. And I'm looking forward to printing from my Samsung phone, though I haven't needed to yet. And it is faster than any printer I've ever owned.
- Can only print from active Instagram feed, not from your own gallery, without Facebook work around.
- Top tray takes envelopes and photo sized paper only so only one type of letter-sized paper can be loaded at a time.
- No document feeder for multi-paged scans.
- However, when using a direct USB cable connection to my MAC computer, scanning and printing speed was robust. I still use wireless for printing from tablets, so it is nice to have wireless capability.
- Auto 2-sided printing: I have used this feature and it's pretty great not having to take out the paper, flip it over, reinsert, hit print. If you do a lot of double sided printing, then this is awesome.
- Lots of useful features including printing directly on printable discs (more on that in a minute)
- Drivers are both user-friendly and allow for advanced customizability
- The wifi connection is abysmal, so we bought a cable to connect it - which totally defeats the purpose of a wireless printer.
