The most sophisticated scanner I own is the 2009 ver. of the Snapon Modis which is a great scanner but it became obsolete.
I have used many code scanners as a DIY mechanic, but this one takes the cake. If you are a hard-core DIY mechanic, then you need this. Online updates, with helpful diagnoses, you can take the guesswork out of confusing codes.
First is that it’s a smart scanner but most of my cars are pretty dumb the smarter the car, the more it does to a point, but it helped me bleed the ABS on my 2004 Optima after replacing a brake line.
Other than the menu system takes a little while to get used to this scanner does everything that our fleet shop scanner does.
This DS808 is very helpful when I want to be able to diagnose different aspect of any type of automobile such as Engine, ABS, SRS, and Suspension etc.

Just letting you guys know that I'm a Master Technician and shop owner for over 15 years. The most sophisticated scanner I own is the 2009 ver. of the Snapon Modis which is a great scanner but it became obsolete.
Turns out, the MS-906 DOES program keys! I'm very impressed with the scanner. Comparing it to an older Snap-On Solus, it blows it out of the water! The graphing is nice, has a TON of features!

For the most part I like the scanner and it helps me keep my cars away from the local yokels who want to charge top dollar, sell you stuff you don’t need, and do crappy work.
Whatever the response speed, diagnostic accuracy or the sensitivity of the super touch screen, MS906 is one of the best vehicle scanner with excellent configuration among the products in the same price.

Firstly, this diagnostic computer has great features. I need more than just check engine light codes for most carts, and cheap code readers usually only clear CEL codes.
Makes diagnostic work simple so you're not giving customers the wrong diagnosis and having comebacks.
A code reader for diagnosing problem of engine can’t meet my expectation now so that I bought this professional diagnostic tool.
This diagnostic tool works flawlessly. Its well worth the cost. I run a service department at a new car dealership and it has helped us greatly with used car inventory and customers who bring us other make vehicles
Excellent product I was skeptical on if it would work at dealer level diagnostics but I have to say it is pretty dam close. It has done everything I have needed it to do so far. I work on mostly domestic cars.

Also the complete scan where it checks all the modules for DTC's is kinda slow, in fact much slower than the verus.
Great product. I was sold on the fact that this has an oscilloscope. Definitely handy when checking signals. Happy with my purchase.
The unit gets to check all the engine issues but the abs, airbag is not easily available in some of the older Audi models like the 1998 A4.
So far it works well just have a little problem reading Vin numbers but ill see if there upgrades for it I would love the new upgrade tool.
Another oddity I noticed is the timing belt check does not work right. The rise and fall data is shown in the live data but when a timing belt check is done it will only show one and not the other, the second value is always zero.

Email sharing of the diagnostic files ( they have an embedded app but it doesn't work with yahoo or gmail servers - I got around it by downloading the yahoo app and using that one to send files to my computer)
The complete lack of wiring diagrams and any sort of schematics.
I was able to do variant coding on a W212 Mercedes, Airmatic calibration and it still had a lot of other useful features( it was able to access all of the 46 modules installed on the Merc).
I was recommended to purchase it. As I expected, it performs well. Its premium features really enhance my work efficiency like shop manager and data manager.
This has a kinda scope feature that can really be useful when troubleshooting sensors on the fly along with a very bright and easy to read screen as well as a ohm meter it had me curious as to how good it is.

I am a professional and this has a lot of well thought out features bundled in one small package which saves me time and you no what they say time is money
All in all I think it's a great tool for the features and price point , I only hope it lasts just as long as I expect or will it fail too soon. I will update in the future as to its durability and operation.
It has many very useful features, especially the A/C screen, which doubles as a waveform viewer.
