INNOVA 3140g Code Reader/Scan Tool

It's a very basic code scanner for OBD1 and I can't find any ability to monitor sensors or anything but it's better than nothing. I gave the product 5 stars partly due to the outstanding technical support I received.
I currently own this scanner, an Autel al619 and an Autel Maxysis Pro. While this is a basic scanner it does the functions it advertises extremely well and fast.
If you are considering getting a diagnostic tool, please do not hesitate on this one. I read a lo of reviews on different scanners and finally decided on this one.
It has worked flawless from the start on a variety of cars I have hooked it up to and was right on the money with the problems encountered.
I have 2005 Grand Caravan and a 1990 Buick Le Sabre. When I plugged the scanner into the OBD-2 connector inside the caravan everything was automatic, the scanner made the connection to the on board computer and retrieved the codes with no interaction needed by me.

It's the absolute perfect triple threat! Engine, ABS and SRS with live data, It exactly pinpointed my SRS front crash sensor issue on my 2004 Buick Lesabre that I assumed, but didn't want to just change parts only to find that I was wrong to assume.
Good scanner. Works as described. It reads the OBD-2, SRS and ABS codes for the vehicles that I own. It can also record live data.
This scanner can move you up a notch if you are a better than average back-yard mechanic who occasionally works on the most popular American and Japanese models. One must know the electronic controls of modern cars to take full advantage of it.
Most of the time this scanner is great, and a huge time saver. Tells you exactly what's going wrong with the car.
Regardless, this scanner is useless for SRS codes and clearing of SRS codes on a 2005 Dodge Durango.

Can perform diagnostics/test the engine (Depending on make & model, not all cars support this!)
l just love this diagnostic scan tool. It has the best of both worlds. It is very convenient to have both OBD1 & OBD2 capabilities in one tool. The live data function is also very convenient.
The scanner reads live data also, like rpm, trans shift points, emissions, ...... It works well out of the box.
This is an awesome tool. It works just as described. It picks up the same codes that the pricer diagnostic tools do.
Very reliable and useful tool to diagnose most vehicles and run preliminary diagnostics/EVAP tests.

It's a nice scanner but don't buy it if reading SRS and ABS codes is important to you.
Lots of parameters for live data diagnostics, you can record live data as well.
Also worked on my sons Ford Fiesta (2012) without issues and ran scores of diagnostics that pointed to an air leak near the MAF sensor. Sure enough that fixed it up.
This is just the diagnostic tool that I've been waiting for!

INNOVA 3140g Code Reader/Scan Tool

The actual diagnostic unit is very lightweight with a decent size LCD screen. Some of the icons are quite small, so if your vision isn't the best you will need your bifocals or reading glasses to see them clearly. The text display is very readable as are the codes themselves.
There area huge number of features on this unit and we have only scratched the surface of its capabilities. We have not tried to update it or use the online "help" software or service.
The live data seems like a great feature but really i dont see a purpose for it, it doesnt respond quick enough to catch a glitch in a TPS or what not.
The diag software and website are completely useless, but an experienced tech shouldn't need them anyway. I am happy with this scanner, espically for the price.
So far im quite over all quite satisfied with this scan tool but am a bit disappointed with the lack of OBD1 features on my Dodge. But for the price, im not gonna complain

This new Innova 3160E device is a feature packed, multi-language hand held automotive diagnostic tool that connects to your vehicle's OBD2 computer which reads the malfunction scan codes whenever a faulty Check Engine Light appears in your dashboard.
Very handy features if you know what you are doing. You are not going to get all of those functions on a $200 tool, so be realistic when purchasing this.
People must understand that this device is packed with a lot of features however not every car utilize all the features or for that matter allow access to some features
The live-view is a neat feature, but I have not figured out how to use it as a tool when diagnosing a vehicle.
