- It also has the power to stop the boat instantly when you turn it 180 degrees!!! I love it!!!! btw, I changed from 12v to 24v when I made the switch, so I needed to get a second Blue Top Ultimà (that was another great purchase!).
- Bingo... put on a 17ft deep V, no problems at all getting around in water, plenty of power. I would for sure buy it again
- Should be good we were fishing a tournament with an old old old maximum it just stoped turning and we had to leave the tournament and we found out that something was grinding on shaft new trolling motor should work great more power
- Nice motor plenty of power to drag my 18.5 fiberglass boat around
- This is one tough and easy to use motor. Lots of power. Well worth the money.
- I'm really happy with this purchase really good product pulls my 20 ft. Boat well
- I really like the power I need to get used to the foot peddle.
- I love my 80lb mk, it pulls my boat very good.
- I bought this trolling motor to replace the other brand that I kept having problems with so far it has worked flawless plenty of power for my 21 ft boat will be ordering the depth finder cable soon since I forgot to do it when I ordered the trolling motor.
- This motor isn't too bad. It provides plenty of power for my boat that is an 18 footer and weighs around 2,500 lbs.
- It would have been 5 stars but the shaft is located on the motor where it is prop heavy when bringing it up to stow.
- The 42 inch model was the correct fit for my Ranger bass boat. This was a replacement for an older MinnKota Maxxum that had seen better days.
- Husband ordered this motor and is very unhappy that the isolator mounts no longer come with their motors.
- There is no way to mount it on my boat without the prop hitting the side of the boat.
- Bad quality product it only has a dial from 1 thru 5 and 1-3 doesn't even move an average boat. I
- The motor is fine, the props are a little off center. I had to balance them to reduce vibration at higher speeds.
- Mounting was easy as all the current holes lined up. It may be overkill for my boat but I wouldn't be without it now.
- Replaced a comp brand that shorted out and needed to be mounted and ready same day, took 2hrs to install and really love the 80#thrust and ease of operation, very well built and sturdy worked great for 5hours i tested it yesterday,
- The motor has never hit a dock, rock, etc. and only occasionally contacts weeds. The shaft has not been fully extended.
- The model I received was the variable speed with Maximizer feature as advertised. Great packaging, fast delivery, great price and works like a charm.
- This is my second time trying to buy the Maxxum 70 model with the Digital Maximizer. Important feature.
- The COM mode has given me a new way to spend more time fishing and less time trying to control the speed and direction of the boat.
- I still like it and I just have to turn the motor by the foot control when bringing it up.
- The picture indicates a variable speed hand control Minn Kota Module (speed control 1-10) - when shipment came in - it is actually a 5 speed forward - 3 speed reverse hand control. Very disappointed.
- It has digital power and keeps from running you batteries down so quick. I have used Motorguide but still prefer the MinnKota.
- It's built pretty well, and the foot pedal is nice.
- The other feature that is really great is the assist system for raising and lowering the motor, it's a great. Didn't look for that on the motor but it is one of the best parts.
- Battery life is awesome. Seven hours of use and I used barely 30% of the batteries.
