- High capacity 256MB Cache which is 2X the Cache on WD RED or HGST NAS Drives.
- The drives are quite fast considering and the capacity is excellent.
- You can't beat that drive. Fast drive with all that cache and RPM.
- They're a little slower than some of the higher end drives you can buy.
- I bought two Seagate 8TB IronWolf NAS. One of them had 1256 bad sectors. Couldn't use it on my NAS.
- Good price for a lot of disk space with pretty fast responsiveness.
- I have plenty of space for new media and the reliability of WD. Highly recommend.
- 5400 RPM is adequate and keeps the power and heat lower than 7200 RPM drives.
- Large file copies are steady state and maintain a real nice read/write rate.
- There's been a steady increase of bad sectors in two drives over the past couple months in addition to frequent disconnects.

- Seagate Tools provides an excellent suite of testing and drive monitoring software to test drives before Installation.
- The drive is working well for my always-on Plex server, no complaints.
- The drive works great and mounts in a standard case.
- Solid performer with excellent stats (6 GB/s SATA), NCQ, 256MB cache that makes it a solid workhorse for home NAS use.
- The loud noise from these drives is hard to tolerate. I have four of these drives in a NAS. My NAS now sounds awful.
- These aren't noisy drives; far from it, they're far quieter than the drives they replaced.
- They can operate 24.7 without much heat. Needless to say I will purchase more in the future.
- This drive is great for mass media and backup applications and that is what it's designed to do.
- This disk does exactly what you'd expect for a top tier NAS marketed drive.
- I would highly recommend this NAS for people that care about low noise levels.
