The installation was pretty straight forward by just unplugging the sata and power cables from the other drive, sliding it out, sliding this one in, and then reconnecting the sata and power cables.
This drive is indeed fast and easy to install and holds to all the correct read/write speeds.
Installed this for a friend and the drive performs well. Good capacity.
Its quiet, its got plenty of storage capacity, and so far zero problems from it.
220MB/s is the advertised large continuous transfer speed, but if i transfer a movie or some other file that is larger than the cache, speeds drop to 10-40MB/s.

WD Black hard drives have a great reputation for long turn reliability.
No issues putting this drive in an existing system, faster operations than usb passport.
Drive was easy to install and is relatively fast considering 7200RPM.
It's been decades since I've heard a disk drive this loud. It sounds like a rat chewing through a wall every time the drive is accessed.
Great capacity but this thing is so loud, I even installed it with rubber washers and it is still the loudest drive I have ever owned.
