Fast transfer speeds for a HDD and has is very reliable and runs cool in my server. No complaints here!
Like the product, does what it needs to do.
Great product, very quiet shipping speed was perfect and on time.
Works good no problems the speed is good and it is not loud.
Read speeds are alright initially, but not consistent. As the drive gets full you'll hit bumps of drive being not responsive on read applications.

As advertised and works like it should! Have no problems at this time!

Western Digital Purple Surveillance Hard Drive

The drive is very quiet compared to many other drives. There is no loud clicking noises, or audible spin up sounds.
This is a great drive. It was installed in a generic low cost Network Video Recorder (Hisilicon Hi3520D) and it runs fine.
Has worked fantastically in the Amcrest DVR it was installed in, providing 3 months of recording from (3) 3-Megapixel cameras 24-7. No issues, looks like it will last a long time.
It is quiet, no obvious noise, I have it running in an Amcrest brand NVR which it fit perfectly, screw holes lined up well, the cable connectors fit perfectly.
The Surveillance harddrive is completely dead after 10 months of usage (recording).
