- This controller is good but the software that came with it said out of date code it took 5 days to sort it all out so my son couldnt play it and then we ended up buying a version of it because the other wouldnt work properly, so look for other software if buying
- Perfect controller for myself as a beginner (so I'd highly recommend if you're thinking about starting up) the only problem I found is with the Deckadance software that the controller comes with.
- Coloured illuminated buttons that change colour when selected and large smooth sliders, plus nice large pads - I really can't find anything bad to say about this.
- A well built, quality bit of kit, looks very professional, is very functional and not a toy like some others. Coloured illuminated buttons that change colour when selected and large smooth sliders, plus nice large pads - I really can't find anything bad to say about this.
- Third, I run my music through a second software for EQ and bass compression, and when I run that through the studio 4a soundcard, the results are imperceptible.
- The jog wheels are a little small, about 4-5" wide each. There are great and feel solid. They are topped with brushed metal and come with covers.
- Good responsiveness on touch strip and jog wheels
- The bonus is I'm finding it offers a lot more via the VirtualDJ 8 software which I'm still in the process of learning.
- It's got pretty much all of your basic functions for operating virtual dj software (you won't be operating scratch controls on this board) and even adds touch sensitive stripping for the effect control.
- The plastic housing feels cheap, as do the buttons and jog-wheel.
- Lights up beautiful and the size of the controller is perfect, most controllers are small and look like toys but you will not be laughted at if you show up with this.
- I have had this controller for over a year now, and it has been nothing but good to me, even used it to play a couple gigs due to its portability
- It's not very portable, either. It's fairly large, but great for a stationary console.
- I was debating between this mixer and the Pioneer DDJ for a long time and ultimately chose this one because I like the size dimensions and functionalities a little better.
- Other than that the small sleek design is great for portability and has all the necessary components to be dj a great set.
- It's really lightweight so it's conveniently portable, and seems to have a LOT of functions for a beginner controller.
- This is a BUDGET controller. It is light and made from mostly hard plastic
- Throw in the extra large platters, metal surface, and pitch control, and it just didn't make sense to me.
- There is LED feedback on every button, which is awesome when you jump to decks 3 and 4. You can see exactly what's happening without having to squint at your laptop.
- Product has a lot of features and works great. The only downside is, it does not come with 1/8 headphones adaptor, I bought one for $2.00
- Excellent controller for the money. This had the features I needed for both VDJ8 pro and Traktor pro use.
- Hey guys, I've had the Behringer CMD Studio 4a for about a month now and I love it! I did a quick review if your interested in some of its features and to see it in action.
- Only slight drawback I can say is no gain knobs, so have to put traktor on auto gain mode, and crossfade/channel sliders lag abit due to the unit just controlling traktor
- It's got pretty much all of your basic functions for operating virtual dj software (you won't be operating scratch controls on this board) and even adds touch sensitive stripping for the effect control.
- For the controller itself, it has lots of features. It has a touch strip at the top of each 'deck' which controls the effects and you can skip to different parts in the song.
- First off, let me say that the 5 star rating is not because this is the best controller you can buy. It is because of the combinations of features you get with this controller plus price that you are paying. The value you are getting here simply cannot be beat!
- Sliding track search / FX manipulator. This is a Pro and a Con for me. I like the sliding track search, again, a more high-end type of feature, however, I would prefer if the FX had nobs for manipulation.
- 10mm pitch slider. This is invaluable if you are a mixing DJ. You are able to make very small inputs and accurately manipulate the tempo of you track. No controller at this price range offers that.
