- Amazing sound effects. Set up relatively easy. Comes with a lighter edition of the software.
- I am a traktor user, own s4, and now have an 4trak, this is very solid and power full unit, full functions. Plates are smooth and sensitive. Fader and controls are very good quality. I give it 5 stars!
- Great controller! Gets the job done extremely well! Its eye candy too (; Ladies love it! Very easy 4 Channel controller to use!
- The software is why I gave this controller 3 stars. The Traktor Pro does not come with this controller; instead, it came with the Numark edition for Traktor which is limited and to upgrade to Traktor Pro, it cost almost $90.
- The machine is just awesome for the beginners and a little bit more practitioners. However, I got this with the software, but the key didn't work. And amazon did not have any items then to replace so I got a partial refund.
- Out of all of the software/hardware that NI makes, this is by far my favorite. I first got into DJing 20+ years ago and my goal was always that I wanted to be able to take parts of songs and create entirely new music all within the moment of a set.
- Everything worked well right out of the box. Hardware and software looks professional and is impressive to clients.
- Traktor Pro is awesome software, and the S4 MK2 is the perfect controller. My other controller is a Numark NV with Serato.....it now collects dust.
- The jog wheels are nice and responsive. if you press down on the platter, you can scratch, and if you move the wheel from the sides, it functions as a nudge for beat matching.
- If you do not have Traktor, this unit comes with a key for the FULL version of Traktor Pro 2(Download from Native Instruments website).
- Stainless steel exterior is heavy duty, very durable, the effects controls are easy to use and very reliable.
- Nice unit, solid and fun. Not heavy and easy ti use.
- Way better than the S4. If you don't mind the size, you will love the feel. Controller is easy to use and built like a beast.
- The reason I am giving the item 3 stars, is that quality control was lacking or build quality wasn't that great for it to have been glitching out from the get go.
- The entire unit is of sturdy construction and feels like it can take a beating. The nice thing for me is it is just a little bigger than my previous controller, so I didn't have to account for a significant change in size.
- I'm VERY happy with it so far. Nice size and weight. The control surface layout just seems more intuitive/easy to me.
- I do think the sound quality was good, and I liked the overall size of the unit.
- One of the best 4 track controllers out there. Super easy to use, very light weight to take around, and it just make DJing that much more fun when you can take it around easily and drop some heavy hitters on the fly. Highly recommened
- Small enough to fit into any booth but durable enough to withstand years of constant use. I highly recommend this product. Amazing work Native Instruments.
- The Traktor interface that is included is seamless and works well on his MacBook.
- The front panel has a fader start, a crossfader start, deck crossfader assign, headphone blend, split cue. I am still novice at this so I do not want to talk about stuff I haven't mastered yet. This controller has a ton of features .
- The rear panel has both RCA and XLR master output. It also has 4 RCA input for audio sources. You can also use these input for your microphone by flipping the Line/MIC switch.
- When turned on, the jog wheels turn blue or green . I had two house parties with it and friends came to me just to tell me how nice the controller is.
- Gave it a 3 star only because the name 4trak stands for traktor... And they don't even include traktor pro 2 it's more like a traktor LE that's BS..
- For me, running a Macbook with OSX 10.6.8 with Traktor Pro 2, I could never get a driver to work reliably. At first, after installing the driver that came on the CD, this ringing digital distortion would intermittently begin and wouldn't stop until you reset the controller.
- Each side of the controller has it's own loop control just below the jog wheel, and it is quick and easy to create a loop on the fly and exit out of them with just a few pushes of a button.
- Each jog wheel and associated loop controls and performance pads can be switched to the other deck on its respective side with just the touch of a button, so you can easily control 4 decks and still have the same level of control deck to deck.
- Specially I love remix deck control. You can use different loops and it will trigger when you want to add drums or other instrumental loops.
- There are more advanced features that you will likely want to know so you can maximize what you can do with the S4.
- Not a DJ but love to manipulate music. I does more than what I needed it for but I can always explore the other features later. Satisfied so far.
