- Simply love this! Easy to use with Traktor software.
- The X1 MkII is an essential part of my setup (Decks, Effects, Browsing etc.) You can midi map it to other DJ software (This is an update to a previous 2 star review) I know now how to use most of it's features.
- Make sure to look for bundles that include the Traktor Pro 2 software as the Kontrol X1 MKII is an add-on purchase for your existing system
- Been DJing since the late 90's starting from vinyl on my 1200s (which I still have), through CDJs, to Serato and Traktor. This is a very nice addition. The ability to mix stems and remix sets opens up a whole new dimension.
- Excellent product for Traktor. Great for beginners of perfect compliment for advanced DJs with larger setups. Durable buttons, excellent build and quality.
- Fully compatible with the Traktor Gig Bag. 0 issues. The Z1 fits inside of it perfectly.
- The form factor is amazing. The app is powerful. This setup is perfect for dj's who don't feel like dragging around equipment for small parties, backyard bbq's, or tailgating.
- Been testing this out with Traktor DJ for iPad Pro, and I must say, it's been easy to figure out and a boon to my ability to mix across the two interface points.
- I am old school DJ (Two turntables and mic) and I only due private parties. I am slowly adjusting to the digital world. This with a couple of other controllers is all I need.
- This is a great console for a novice dj like me. Love the ipad traktor, now even more with controls at my hands.
- This plus a Z1 (and your laptop) makes for an extremely portable pair that you can easily take to get significant capability in a small package.
- Unpacking the unit I appreciated the industrial grade bubble wrap and immediately noticed the heavy weight of the X1 with its solid rubber feet.
- Nice equipment, well made, excellent quality.
- I was expecting crap and it to be smaller but I was wrong.
- Its a mobile gig setup and easy to connect as it does have a sound card so you can't beat the price.
- The best part about digital DJing is the devices keep getting smaller and I stay the same size.
- The unit can also be mapped to work with any other software that supports standard MIDI mapping; holding Shift and pressing the left and right Load buttons simultaneously puts the unit into MIDI mode.
- The touch strip works perfect, pitch bend its easy to control with it, and needle search is also really usefull
- The browser knob also works perfect as they say, you touch it and its maximize the browser window, you release it and browser goes back to its size.
- I held of on buying this for a long time thinking this controller would not include nearly as many features as my other controller but i was severly wrong. I promise this controller will help bring your sets into the next level.
- A particularly amazing feature is the touchpad which is not featured on any of the more advanced traktor controllers like the Z2 or S4, which allows you to do live scratching very easily. Great for browsing and selecting music as well as useful with remix sets.
- The knobs are all rubberized. They're soft to the touch.
- The Line faders have a very nice glide to them. They're not completely loose and offer a bit of resistance.
- The deck plate matches an iPad's bezel, but is very prone to smudging and surface scratches. Do NOT wipe this with a dry cloth.
- Synced RIGHT up to Traktor. NO lag on the crossfader either. Has so many other functions you may miss, like start/stop and selecting loops.
- I highly recommend the Z1 to longtime DJs who want the best inexpensive mobile solution and to any person stepping up their DJ set up.
- Thick guage USB to 30pin Apple cable (for iOS device connections)
