- I owned the DDJ SZ but was a little dissapointed about the Serato fx's not being post faded. So finally they came thru and here it is the post faded DDJ SZ2 with a couple of new pitch features. The perfect controller period!
- I can use Serato as it is made for Searato and if I want too, I have the option to map it to Virtual DJ. I like to have choices in case something should happen to either operating systems. You also receive in the packaging two Serato packets to download.
- It is a great device, to do professional performances.
- Great Controller, The jogs are more sensitive and much better responding than the SX2. Awesome Sound qulity too.
- Awesome controller packed with features, and full size jog wheels with a good mixer taken from the nexus, only thing that lets it down is the size of the unit.
- It will take a bit of getting used to with buttons being in slightly different places to the SX.
- Good sound and pro functions, you cant beat pioneers jog wheels smooth like butter.
- The beat pads make it really easy. The controller comes with Serato DJ and a Demo Virtual DJ disc.
- One thing I really like about the controller is that is the Hot Cues correspond with the color in Serato so you don't have to keep looking at the computer screen. Really enjoy using it!
- So many more performance capabilities, large step up from the ddi-sx. The mixer and other sections all have wonderful size and new capabilities, plus the large jogs!! a must get! total non limited creation!!
- This contoler has taken my Dj skills to another level...only thing I would change is being able to use with other programs other then serato....like the Djay program.
- The only part I don't like at all is the sound ... It's way to compressed and the reason I believe is the sound card compare to transistors use on regular Dj mixers. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the poor sound quality. Everything else is a beauty!!
- Its well made. It has weight and it feels sturdy.
- Very durable and has enough weight to work for years.
- Extremely well built, the faders feel like a dream. Honestly the whole thing feels like a dream when it comes to build quality and how tightly integrated with Serato it is.
- it feels sturdy and well made. Has enough weight and stability.
- It has many options to connect other attachments. I can control my volume and the fact that it has two sound cards embedded. That gets to be lots of fun if I have any of my friends dee jay with me. Totally worth every penny.
- Dual USB port for Native support a Professional Magvel crossfader features and FXnd dedicated controls for new Serrate DJ features smooth DJ changeovers.
- Much higher quality than I anticipated. Every knob, fader, pad, and button feels top notch.
- The Beat FX section is full of great-sounding FX, the jog wheels feel great, and everything is spaced very well.
- The only downside to the controller is that it makes everything SO easy. The design and functionality can definitely turn into a crutch.
- The echo effect is amazing and almost makes up for the rest of my annoyances with how the controller does FX.
- The pitch effect is really nice if you have a use for it. I think I found my first use for it today playing with some music I normally don't.
- I own one of this controllers ... I love everything on it, the effects, loops, etc. my favorite the ability of connecting two computers at the same time!!
- My main annoyance is how the FX are handled. Due to the audio routing none of the Serato FX are post-fader, which is irritating because there are things I can do with my SR that I can't do with the SZ due to that limitation.
- The hardware FX are pretty good. I don't really like Pioneer's filters since I prefer smooth filters with no resonance.
