- Great speed!!! Get good router to go with this to enjoy the great speed this modem offers. I'm with Xfinity and get 28 download streams out of possible 32 modem is capable of with Blast Pro (200Mbps). It flys!!!
- Found out I was paying for speeds not possible with previous modem. Thanks ISP for telling me. Immediate improvement with this modem.
- Switching to this from the standard issue cable company modem made a works of difference in our internet experience. Much faster speeds—consistently close to max we are paying for, very pleased with this purchase.
- Hooked it up to my Comcast and was flying at Gig speed in no time. Huge difference and speed improvement.
- Needed a new Modem to speed up comcast service and this was a good price for the speed it gives.
- This modem will suffice for years to come. With a maximum connection speed of 1.4 gigabits per second, this modem is Future Ready. As at the beginning of 2017, the average DOCSIS cable speed is 75 megabits per second.
- This is very good. My ISP gives 300 mbps and i am getting the full speed.
- The ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem enables up to 1.4GBps data transfer rates off cable internet services that support high speeds. I installed it in Truckee CA and the cable speed went from 192MBps to 498MBps. It handles up to 32 simultaneous channels down and 8 up.
- Delivers blazing fast speed to my house. I have it paired with a netgear nighthawk x6 ac3200 and couldn't be happier.
- I have Comcast and this modem maintains my speed at or above my plan with Comcast. So far the best modem I've had.
- It works great. But sometimes it loses its signal. I don't know if it's the modem or Comcast. My bet is open Comcast. Wish it had telephone capabilities.
- This product increase my WiFi speed so much, almost doubled my speed.
- Installing the modem is simple, but activation needs to be done via a PC or laptop directly connected to the modem, thus not via the router. The speed is amazing and a good value for the money.
- If you have problems with the install to rule out your router plug a device directly into the Ethernet port and then reboot the modem followed by the PC.
- Haven't had any issues with this cable modem. It is a lot better that the surfpro that I had. Plus it has a gbps port on it.
- Works ok about 90% of the time. Connection eventually deteriorates. A reboot fixes it but then the connection to the wi-fi router goes bad and a second reboot restores that.
- To address the 'will not work with voice service' statement... The reason is, there is no VOIP (phone) port on this modem, like on the Comcast.
- This modem set up very easily by connecting a PC directly to the port. After set up I attached a wireless router
- Good speed. Setup is fairly self explanatory. Only one port so definitely need a router or Ethernet switch.
- Great price for a simple router. Wish it had more ports but I connected the device to another device so I could hard-wire several rooms.
- Needed a phone port on our cable modem. This one didn't have a phone port so needed to return it.
- Modem worked well for the first 50 days and then today the ethernet port just stopped working - verified through Comcast that the modem was receiving a signal but no signal coming out from the ethernet port.
- I returned this Docsis modem 3.0 for the 3.1 modem. The 3.0 model does not have enough ports for my needs. The 3.1 Surboard is great and has the extra ports needed for extra connection.
- This device was easy enough to set up. Once I installed it I tried to use Comcast's useless self install feature. It kept asking me if I wanted to bring over the old wifi settings as if this were a router. So it wouldn't let me specify that it's just a modem.
- This is a good modem/router for those interested in cutting the (cable) cord. Pros: Easy to set up. Lots of features. Strong wi-fi throughout the house and into the back yard.
- You wouldn't think the power button is a feature you'd like, but when tech support asks you to reboot the modem, it's easier to use the power button than to reach behind the thing to unplug it.
- Great Modem, 3.0 compliant so you can use all the cool features that come with xfinity like whole house dvr and watching tv on your computer! Netgearxxx makes some of the best products in my opion so I keep getting their stuff and I'm always more impressed than before.
- My home network is not your typical home network, but it's not to complex. I do use port forwarding and DHCP with reserved addresses. There's a big problem is entering the DHCP reserved addresses. This feature just DOESN't work as the manual describes.
- Our speed doubled after changing to this 32 channel modem. If you have 50 MBPS speed or greater, you need better than an 8 channel modem.
- Most cable companies require a 16channel downstream bonding modem and this one has 32 to allow for some future overhead. Very satisfied.
- The channel combining on this modem is impressive.
- Love the extra channels. I've seen a good boost in my bandwidth after upgrading my 8 channel modem
- The modem is good. Never had any problems. The only problem I have with modems like this is there is no power button for on and off.
- So far it has been fine. I would like it to have a power button and better directions.
