The newly released Kaito KA1103 is an improved and more advanced version of widely praised KA1102. This digital PLL dual conversion world band receiver will keep you connected to a very comprehensive frequency range including FM, AM, short wave and long wave stations with both a digital readout and a simulation of the old-fashioned analog dial.
The PL-660 is a world band receiver with a comprehensive frequency coverage including AM/FM, longwave, shortwave, single side band (SSB) and the aviation band (118-137MHz). The PL-660 offers 4 different methods to tune into a station, these methods are manual (tuning knob), scan, key pad entry & ATS.

- It has tremendous build quality and clear, clear sound through the speaker.
- The audio is solid and clear, and sounds like it's coming from a much larger speaker enclosure.
- The speaker is OK for listening but the line out or earphone jacks have excellent audio output.
- Very nice size speaker with excellent sound quality and little distortion. It is much better than the speaker on the Sony in my opinion.
- The dial light is a bit dim, but I seldom need to use it.

- The Radio is very well designed. It is tactile and smooth tuning making it easy to tune and listen to.
- The internal speaker sounds fine but I plug mine in to an external speaker for more pleasing audio quality.
- Good speaker, comes with an extension wire outside antenna, & the ability to run off AC or AA battery power.
- The case is definitely strong. Telescoping antenna is rugged and extends high.
- The display is large and bright and contains a lot of useful information.

- Battery life is Amazing, even with the included batteries.
- It works for local stations and will apparently work with batteries if the electricity goes out.

- The radio has outstanding battery life. I use rechargeable AA batteries and when plugged in, the radio charges the batteries so you won't have to mess with that.
- It comes with 4 AA rechargeable batteries, an AC adapter, earbuds, 20' shortwave antenna and a carrying case. Really, a great little setup right out of the box.
- Comes with both a longwire antenna, earbuds, and rechargeable batteries with charger.
- Been using it for about a month now and still haven't recharged the batteries.
- This unit is a battery hog on alkaline batteries, a week maybe even when not used, and will not recharge rechargable batteries.
