- This is a Excellent radio, I don't think it can be beat for the price, a digital radio with 19 preset stations, and very easy to use, they kept it very simple to use.
- Received this unit a few days ago and I love it. I am getting great reception without headphones or antenna.
- With the additional antenna, I can receieve AM stations and the quality of transmission is great.
- The radio is intelligently designed, with controls in logical places for one's hands.
- The radio has excellent receiving qualities, particularly in an area of competing broadcasts: NE.
- Reception is clear. Discrimination is very good when we must reach a relatively weak station in Cincinnati, etc. alongside a powerful Mexico station on the border, etc.
- The plug-in wire antenna is a bit mickey mouse, but it does the job without taking up the internal space a telescopic antenna would.
- The miniplug type wire antenna works well, and is also less bulky and heavy than conventional telescoping rigid antennas.
- Typical quality Sangean product. Small, lightweight with great reception.
- The radio is the perfect fit for my needs. Small, great reception (using antenna), easy controls, good sound at medium/medium-high volume (becomes distorted at higher volumes).
- I've love this little black pearl of a radio. It gets a solid buy from me. You will not regret your purchase at all.
- One indefinable plus: It is such a "solid" little radio that you simply admire the craftmanship. Somebody did some nice engineering.
- Without question, this little radio is light years ahead of any other I have used.
- This is an amazing little electronic marvel. It has excellent reception and has shown a long, useful life.
- The only negative issue, which is just inherent in a radio of this size is that the built in speaker can not produce a full rich sound.
- I can honestly say that I could not be more pleased. The sound quality is excellent for such a small radio.
- It's quite small, weighs practically nothing, and it easily fits into most any pocket.
- The lock station is definitely a plus, sound quality is great for a small radio.
- I have been looking for a small portable am/ fm radio. Love to listen to the radio at night as I go sleep.
- This small pocket sized receiver does everybit as good as the high priced, highly amplified signal, rotatable antenna setups in the house.
- The Sound Quality is Very good on speaker and Excellent with a Good set of earbuds.
- The quality of this radio is much better. Not only can you use it with earbuds but you can also use it without them.
- I love having a speaker if you don’t have or want headphones all the time.
- The speaker often produces mediocre to poor AM sound.
- This speakers sound at normal listening levels is somewhat distorted by interference on AM stations that have all but the strongest signal.
- The lock feature is also a plus in that you can still adjust the volume while in lock mode, a very nice feature to have while walking.
- The Sangean came with ear buds, a belt clip, and an antenna wire for FM. It has a nice display as well.
- The speaker is good, I'm using my own Sony headphones for comfort, the clarity is 100% perfect for nearby stations.
- The sound quality coming from the built-in speaker is also comparable or better than the bigger and heavier units.
- The only problem I have is pre-setting stations, and then recalling the stations I saved.
- VERY LONG Battery Life. I like that the FM antenna is a Wire that plugs into the headphone jack, typical metal telescoping antennas are very fragile.
- The batteries last a long time if you use the earphones. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for.
- Battery life is amazing with earphones, which is the way I always listen.
- I would rate the battery life as excellent, and the battery indicator gives you plenty of warning.
- Average life seems to be about four years. Batteries are good for about 20 hours or so. The auto off feature is a good one for my purpose.
- Battery life is good. and the batteries are easily changed. The battery covers stay attached to the radio - a small plus but a good one.
- Battery power is excellent. I have had mine about three months. Still on the original set of batteries after 35-45 hours of use.
- Battery life is surprisingly good - using for a month now on the originals.
- Battery life is quite long, several hours with headphones, like up to 8hrs -- I use rechargeable AAAs.
- Runs on two AAA batteries, easily available anywhere. Run this thing maybe 15 hours a week, and batteries will last for months.
