The straight forward nature of this radio is fantastic.
AM Reception is very good. SW Reception is very good, when you add an external wire.
Easy tuning of radio. Alert mode which can be used when the radio is on is great.
AM/FM have exceptionally good receptions. NOAA weather channels are clear and loud.
Good reception and sound will might invest in the extra antenna that is compact and longer.

FM and WB reception is the best. Build Quality is great.
Tuning is easy, you can tune with the knob, seek with the buttons, direct entry the station, and navigate presets with the M- and M+ Keys.
The FM reception is better than my home stereo, the sound quality is crisp and clear.
The AM band is ok, but many of the stations exhibit a high pitched tone. Especially distant stations at night.
Need a longer FM antenna, to improve the reception even more!

Very compact and lightweight. Great features for the size and price.
The KA600L has excellent characteristics, size and weight.
It very easy to carry and the radio is quite lightly weighted.
There are numerous different models of this radio - very confusing with numerous options. The radio seems sturdy, and very light.
The reading light is a great feature. It's very light, I hope it's durable.

It is user friendly and easy to use. Has good reception and the speakers for there size are pretty good.
The NOAA weather and AM/FM reception is strong and speaker sound is exceptional for its' size and weight.
The unit is just the right size, but so narrow that it can fall over if not on a perfectly flat surface.
Sturdy, light case, bluetooth works very well.
A great little device that has many features that come in handy in any situation.

The large LCD screen, its easy to use controls, and access to every radio band you will ever need in an emergency make this one of the best go to radios when times become challenging.
Easy to access dual alarm feature. Large 3" LCD display.
Clock and Date are always displayed when the radio is off or on.
I like temperature and humidity gauge. It could come in handy.
Flashlight is one of the best I've used on a radio. Reading lamps on the solar panel are nice and bright.

MP3, WMA, WAV playback is amazing. And has EQ settings for the MP3 playback.
Alarm function has many options. Wake to beep, MP3, and Radio.
Built in Recorder is smooth, no artifacts like cheaper recorders. Records in Stereo!
You can load up your SD card with tons of podcasts, music and old time radio shows. I'm really happy with this radio overall.
The recording feature is extremely limited. I would not buy again. I would not recommend.

The upgrade from the KA600 is significant: larger battery, bigger solar panel, more durable crank, larger speaker, and a few others.
It has good battery life of 16 to 20 plus hours, on a full charge, be aware the LCD display, always on, discharges the battery, over time, even when off.
One of the best features of KA600L is it uses a single rechargeable high capacity lithium battery, which can last for a long time for a full charge.
Great product, very versatile, and terrific electronics, long lasting lithium battery, speaker sound and features!
The one I received was defective. The battery wouldn’t hold any charge at all.

The battery is rechargeable and last very long time.
The overall build quality is excellent and the battery capacity is very good.
Good radio reception, micro sd card works fine, many ways to charge battery, including solar panel, charges a mobile phone very well.
Easy to select radio and weather stations and sound is good for a small radio. Rechargeable battery lasts for hours and would purchase again if I needed another one.
There is no power adapter with it, I have to use iphone adapter to charge it.
