- The radio has NO vices. It is sensitive and it is selective on all bands. Thats AM, FM and NOAA weather.
- The earphone cable is the antenna. I think this is a feature, not a detriment, having destroyed countless telescopic whips over the years.
- AM antenna id built inside. Very good reception even in highly frequency congested communities.
- The noodle antenna works well for FM stations through the speaker.
- Easy to use, clear sound, good antenna, good battery life.
- Still learning the features, some easy to use others not. Good reception with antenna plugged in, in FM.
- It finds the local channels quickly and gives a clear signal.
- But this one picks up stations very nicely - most without the need of the wired antenna.
- It can handle 20 FM presets and 20 AM presets along with a Weather Band.
- FM reception is great but AM requires the antenna (headphone wire) to stand straight out from the radio for decent reception on weaker stations.
- Reception on this Sangean radio never cuts out, and it has a nice compact size.
- I purchased this radio with one purpose in mind. I wanted a compact radio.
- Being smaller than the old personal cassette players, it is certainly compact and lightweight.
- This is my Go-To fall asleep radio. Compact yet easy to handle.
- Great radio in a very, very compact case. Everything it claims to be!
- I like the compact size and all the functions it has. I use this to listen to the news when at work very convenient.
- However the design and function and the small size is pretty much perfect for the intended purpose.
- Takes a bit of effort to set up at first but it is pretty good and flexible for such a small radio.
- I'm glad I bought this radio. It's small & lightweight enough to easily fit into a shirt pocket.
- Radio is a bit thick, and speaker is a bit small -- due to two AA batteries.
- Build quality is excellent. While the case is plastic, it feels solid in your hand.
- The built in speaker is at best OK, but with a decent set of earphones the radio shines.
- The display is bright and clear and large. I like the yellow back light.
- Sound quality using headphones is excellent (if you have good headphones.
- Screen is very easy to read, even in the dark, had a light.
- Talking about the speaker it's small but definitely does great job for it size and radio, max volume is 25 and it gets really loud on music.
- The LCD screen is well-lit all across and there is no shadings or less visible areas.
- Sound quality fair from small internal speaker as expected.
- Default settings includes beep sound and auto sleep timer on (both can be removed).
- My only gripe is that the belt holder is not very robust and seems like it could easily break off.
- The Battery Life is very good, In a emergency situation It is nice to have a radio that can play for 80 hours straight before battery replacement is needed.
- This model was no exception, with good DX on AM, solid sound on FM. Excellent battery life.
- The battery life is pretty good, and rechargeable batteries work fine.
- Excellent battery life (maybe 30 hrs on 2 AA batteries).
- Battery life is just Okay was hoping it would be longer with (2) AA Batteries.
- You can also use both alkaline and rechargeable batteries, and radio also comes with an adapter so you can plug it in and charge batteries that are inside of the radio.
- This radio comes with an wall adapter and the radio can recharge batteries.
- It can be used with either 2 AA alkaline batteries or 2 AA rechargeable batteries.
- I just plug this guy in and go.. batteries last a good long while as well.
- I think the battery charge capability is also a big plus.
