I am very happy with this little radio. The reception is good and it was as expected.
It has AM, FM and WX stations obvious and easy to find. Your reception will vary depending where you live.
It has AM/FM/7 weather bands. The reception in my area for all 3 functions is excellent.
The radio has AM/FM and 7 weather bands. The reception was fairly strong with the extendable antenna even though I live in a mountainous area.
NOAA reception is great. Loud and clear sound with a extendable antenna.

Control for volume and station selection are good. It gets FM, AM, and the weather bands.
The NOAA weather band, the AM and the FM all have good reception and good sound.
Charged fast with sunlight , good reception all weather channels ,fm/am channels.
The FM radio reception is very good, which is high praise from me given that we live in a valley where reception is generally a problem.
The AM/FM plus the weather band all work as advertised. It even charged my iPhone.

I love this radio. I use it every morning to listen to the news. It's durable and I like that I can also use it to charge my cell phone in an emergency.
The Eton FRX3 is the best product in it's price range. It is sturdy, reliable, versatile, and can dump the entire battery charge into an iPhone or iPad to charge.
The hand crank dynamo is awesome, and charges the batteries quickly. I couldn't be happier with excellent product.
The solar cells work, but they don't keep it charged long enough to continuously monitor a weather frequency in alert mode overnight.
The flashlight is also pitiful, the light on your phone is orders of magnitude more powerful than that thing.

The radio has a very small backlit LCD display but it gets the job done.
Sound is decent enough, battery is great.
Speaker sound is surprisingly good. The antenna helps the unit to cover long distances.
It's easy to operate and I got really good reception and sound quality.
Button for flashlight is great for hand ergonomics. The 3-LED flashlight is bright and should be useful in emergencies.

The Ni-MH batteries even when fully charged will drain in about a month.
The rechargeable battery will be dead after about 2.5 weeks as it runs the clock the whole time. I think this is a good indicator.
The rechargeable on-board batteries charge quickly with the hand-cranked magneto/generator.
The batteries are pretty weak at only 800 mah. That’s about the same as a rechargeable AAA battery.
The crank doesn't create a charge that is at all useful. The rechargeable battery included does not work! It holds no charge.

Solar panel and battery are larger for better battery life and phone charging.
Excellent radio that comes with a battery. The battery holds a charge perfectly.
It has three charging methods. The device charges very quickly.
The battery in this is not enough to fully charge a smartphone.
