What customers say about "Key Specs"
Blink Indoor Camera Home Security System with Motion Detection
  • True wirefree home security monitoring system. Easy setup. Strong sync module reception.
  • Camera is truly wireless. It runs on battery which lasts very long so I don't have to worry about wires. I hate wires so I automatically love this.
  • The resolution is pretty nice, I was able to catch a UPS thief this year steal a package from my front porch, so all good there.
  • Great resolution, good contrast, good sound quality, quick motion detection. Option to run the camera completely wirelessly. Syncs to Blink module quickly. Ability to schedule recording times.
  • The minimum motion sensing delay setting between the events. The minimum delay setting between the events is 10 seconds.
  • I recommend the camera but but first note the field of view is fairly small.
NETGEAR Arlo (VMS3130-100NAS) Security System
  • The cameras are wireless and super easy to install. The video is good quality.
  • Wireless - this is a big one and is amazing. However, know that some of the CONs are a direct result of them being wireless. You kind of have to weigh your options - some of the wired cameras (even those from Arlo) may be superior if you can run wires.
  • Good video quality - I have been impressed by the quality of the view during daylight and night vision. Expect about 10 feet of visibility at night (in terms of seeing someone's face - you'll be able to see further).
  • Very easy setup and wire free and video and image are very clear.
  • Slow on connecting on the camera through mobile and pc due to routing request to be connected first at Arlo's server/netgear network instead of direct connection to the camera.
  • Doesn't record 24/7. Only activated by motion. If something happens outside its activation range, you won't see it.

What customers say about "Features"
Blink Indoor Camera Home Security System with Motion Detection
  • No expensive proprietary batteries. The system uses readily available AA batteries.
  • Mounting options included are well designed to give you close to unlimited viewing angles.
  • I can view Live from any camera from anywhere! (I would never have purchased these otherwise.)
  • Has motion sensor to capture videos when there is a motion and camera is armed. This means I don't have to record all junk.
  • Has app and connected to internet so I can see it from anywhere in the world.
  • No motion sensing zone setup. Anything moves anywhere in the field of view will set off recording and alert.
  • You cannot arm/disarm the motion sensing of the individual cameras. Either they are are all armed or disarmed.
  • It does capture based on motion within its range but doesnt have night vision. I have few recordings at night but cant see a thing in there as it pitch dark.
NETGEAR Arlo (VMS3130-100NAS) Security System
  • The motion detection is pretty solid as long as you spend some time tweaking the settings for your situation (Playing around with the sensitivity is key).
  • The iOS app is easy to use and only the occasional glitch when wanting to disable the camera sometimes.
  • The setup is easy and I haven't had any glitches with the cam communicating with the base station.
  • The free cloud backup for the last week seems more than adequate for general purposes. A week should be long enough to realize if you need to keep a particular clip, and if you do, you can easily download it in the app and it puts it in the Photos app on your phone.
  • The app has some bugs (for example I found that sometimes if you just change 1 setting, it won't be saved), but so far I've found workarounds for most of the bugs.
  • Live viewing the cameras isn't instant - from the Android app or the website, there is definitely about a 5 second lag time.
  • Battery life is limited - 4-6 months is what I heard, although for my purposes (about 1 minute of recording a day), it looks like it will be on the lower end of that with 4 months. A firmware upgrade out of box stole about ~8% of my total life.
