- The resolution is excellent and the motion/sound alerts are wonderful.
- You will obviously lose some resolution, but we have found it to be quite acceptable still.
- The phone application required a little figuring out to get things correct. The camera is dependent on your internet connection so if it's fast it will work better. The focal length is about one average size room.
- This camera has a great picture and is very quick and easy to set up. I like that I can see the video on any device just by logging into my Nest account. It has a wide field of view that allows me to see the entire room.
- I can no longer get good resolution when I zoom ... it simply hyper zooms beyond the point I've established, and all I see is pixelation.
- Resolution is good not great - you CAN make out faces at its furthest point of view, 4x zoom seems to be sufficient (I am thinking both resolution and 8x zoom in the PRO version would be worth the extra $50), 2 way audio functions more like walky-talky but it is usable.
- Nice color, nice wide angle, good microphone pickup, high resolution, very easy to install for someone who knows nothing about IP addresses, etc.
- The night vision is alright but it could be better and the resolution as well in general. All in all, not perfect but alright.
- Great resolution, awesome clear audio, perfect for spying on your crib right from your smartphone.
- There may be better resolution cameras out there, but this one is good, and it's easy to use and move around, so it gets my vote.
- The size and mounting options are excellent!
- The ease of setup is great, picture quality fantastic and the size is non-obtrusive.
- Love this camera! Small in size allows me to put it anywhere and having the night vision allows me to feel safe!
- Easy to set up. Picture and sound are great! Love the small size.
- Very easy to install, great quality of video and perfect size.
- The setup is super easy and the design, size, picture angle and quality is really good.
- Small size, the camera can be removed from the silver mount and is smaller than a hockey puck in size.
- The produce design is great. The size is good and all the parts for mounting the camera are well designed and do the job.
- The camera is small and elegantly designed.
- I love this little gizmo. It was extraordinarily easy to set up. It is small, elegant, and simple to operate.
- I can't say enough good things about the new app. The feature to scrub through a timeline to quickly see activities is perfect.
- The "alert" system is oddly conceived. You only get alerts every 30 minutes. So, since we use the unit as a baby monitor, we have to constantly keep an eye on it. It won't alert you again until you enter into a new 30 minute window.
- Another good feature is that Nest e-mails you every time there is a break in Wi-Fi service. The Nest camera system would be a great security camera system but it is also ideal to help and keep track of elderly parents.
- The motion alert feature is great for when you are away, but I wish Nest would concede some short amount of video history for casual users.
- The only issue I have is with the storage side. I have no problems with paying or anything like that or even the tiers. The issue is for goodness sakes why is it not available for us in more countries - sort this out as to me its the most limiting problem.
- Night vision is very good - can see the room in complete darkness
- There is a slight delay in the video image. I have very high speed internet and the camera is located right next to my wireless router but the delay is acceptable.
- Small about 2inch in diameter for the front lens section and 2.5inch diameter in the rear section that the usb cable plugs into
- Mounting couldn't be easier. There were no screws supplied, so grab 3 of your own, drill them in and then the base of the Dropcam just snaps into place. Took me 60 seconds.
- I particularly like the feature where you can have a wide view or a concentrated view of the shot. Again, this can be controlled via a computer by loggin on to their website, or your smartphone or TABLET with the Free App.
