- I chose this one for the den in our house and over the coming weeks we will be getting smaller ones for the bed rooms.
- Every room in my home has at least one unit of some kind. This all started after radiation treatments following cancer surgery, when I was warned my immune system would be affected, well it may have been, but these units have kept me in perfect health!
- I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who is looking for a relatively cost-effective and efficient air purifier for a room under 200 square feet.
- Then this morning I noticed a distinct odor in my sons room and after sticking my nose by the purifier determined it was the culprit.
- I can't find anywhere what the square footage range is for this purifier, but if I had to guess it would be about 100sf. I just don't think it's powerful enough to do much else.
- If I remember right, this unit is rated for 183 square feet. I am using it for about 600 sq ft, so I was ready to be disappointed. However, I thought if it made a noticeable improvement, I would buy a second unit.
- My room is about 140 square feet, so I need a larger air purifier. Something that I hadn't realized until recently.
- Our house is 2600 square feet on 3 levels. Right now I'm using it on the main level but that seems to the right place to have it.
- This unit can clean the air in a room up to 183 square feet, which is a pretty good sized room.
- Good looking, powerful and much less expensive than other brands. This little guy actually looks good in a classy room.
- I have two of these units and one of the next size up. The larger one sits in the doorway of the cats' restroom, one in the master suite, and one in the kitchen.
- Light weight, so easy to move around
- They're light weight. Sometimes I'll move them around the house.
- It's compact and light weight so it can go in a corner or on a small table
- Light weight and easy to move, doesn't take up much space.
- Have had this for a year - when it was new I liked the attractive design, and it did help slightly with some odors.
- I like the look and design of the unit.. looks modern and does not look like a cheap heater/fan, At moment works well.
- The unit is beautiful with a design resembling the older Apple Mac Pro computer, except made out of plastic instead of aluminum with a dial that is simple to understand and operate.
- Very nice design. The frame is made of brush silver plastic that is some what sticky to the touch. Very light and good for white noise.
- Everything about this product is great - form factor, size, noise level.
- It has the "change filter" feature so I don't have to worry about wondering when it's going to start being less efficient. The filters aren't cost prohibitive as most other air cleaners.
- The UV feature seems to have cut down on the mold smell (old apartment, old damp wood). I keep one running by the bed.
- We don't use the UV feature because the blue light is too bright. The most impressive feature of this filter is that we can bring it into the kitchen when cooking foods with strong odors (such as fish) and it clears out the smell within an hour.
- The blue light produced when the UV feature is on makes a nice night light.
- Also, I don't use the UV light. It's a silly feature. Your air doesn't need to be sterilized. And if it did a proper job the UV lamp would also generate toxic ozone gas when the UV reacts with the oxygen in the air.
- The noise levels are as expected. Low is a whisper, even at night when I want quiet to sleep. Medium is low level white noise which helps cover up city noise. High is a fairly loud fan.
- I would compare it to the same noise level as a small 10" tabletop fan, but I don't find it to be bothersome. Overall I recommend this product!
- So far this air filter has done well to perform its job. I am using it continually in a 15'x10' bedroom with a single window which opens to a busy street. The dust levels are wholly unmanageable due to the road. I cleaned thoroughly and have been running this filter 24/7 since it arrived.
- It has a nice carry handle on the top back. Lowest fan speed is pretty quiet. Easy to change and find filters. I dislike that the UV light need to be turned on everytime the unit is turned on
- This one, while smaller and making less noise, did not seem to help me much at all. I decided to come back and get a second 4825 instead.
