The Gurin states that this dehumidifier can remove up to 10 ounces of moisture per one charge. The manufacturer also says that it will take from 6 to 8 weeks to reach this capacity. However, all of this depends on the spaces you're going to use it in. For instance, if you place the unit in a room or closet with airflow, you shouldn't expect it to last very long before recharging. This is especially true if you're going to use it in a damp environment like a bathroom or basement.
By the way, the dehumidifier adsorbs moisture very rapidly and is effective enough to keep the moisture off the windows and mirrors in a bathroom. Also, it can prevent mold everywhere, from a small dresser drawer to an outdoor shed. The manufacturer says it works in any 500 cu. ft. area, however, it's a slight exaggeration.
