- Tested at distances of 2 miles, 4 miles, and 7 miles with minimal difficulty.
- These are solid walkie-talkies. There actual range is probably about 2-5 miles depending on conditions.
- Range is as good as you should expect from GMRS, like a mile to maybe a few in average wooded, hilly terrain.
- Amazing! High quality, great range, weather (kid) proof, and every accessory you could use is already included.
- Very disappointed with these radios. They pick up transmissions late and transmit late as well.
- Range is about 1 mile in real use, very limiting!
- Good radios. No problem with communication as I use them (sports practices).
- Radio's are thus far better quality than any I have had in the past. They are super clear and seem to work well.
- Great little radios that have performed flawlessly!
- I haven't pushed these to their limits, but they are very clear.
- Great distance. I am not exactly sure, but we were a good 3-4 miles apart.
- When you hit the talk button there is a 3-5 second delay before the receiving end can hear you.
- It's also highly visible in the day time and the light did turn on when it hit the water.
- The unit lights up in the water, so it was perfect on the beach and neon green is easy to find.
- Lots of features and well built, they don't have the cheap plastic feel of other radios in the FRS family.
- They work great. They hold up in the rain, too.
- Great range. Clear, NOAA channels, led light and charging work well.
- Sent through 3 cheaper sets with our boys, learned the hard way to opt for water proof! Love these!
- So far they work great. I left them in the rain and they took a swim in the pool, no problem.
- The carrying case is hard, so the contents don't get damaged in transit.
- The built in light is very handy also, and it has a whistle in case of an emergency.
- I really like the waterproof design to keep radio's safe in the rain and woods.
- Lightweight and holds a charge. Communication glitches are a thing of the past.
- Works perfectly, just use AA’s and they last a long time as long as the kiddos remember to turn them off.
- Awesome product. Good battery life.
- Supplied battery pack lasted about 24 hours on standby with very little use.
- The batteries that came with the units would not hold a charge.
- Rechargeable batteries it comes with are garbage.
- The flashlight on the bottom comes in pretty handy as well and the battery life is good with the batteries they come with.
- I love that you can choose to use the rechargeable batteries, or you can use your own disposable batteries.
- I really like that if those die you can use AAs to get up and running fast without having to wait for them to charge.
- These radios have great options for charging. Best I’ve seen and I love the multiple device charger.
