- They had no trouble going a couple of miles in the suburbs. On the cruise ship I was surprised at just how well they worked.
- They provide lots of functions with a wide variety of channels and we never had an issue.
- Just for setting them up around the campus of a church for a walk through production and to allow the behind the scenes people to talk to each other - it was great.
- The many channels really helped as other people were using walkie talkie's as well, so we were able to have our own private channel.
- They work great in the woods, we tested it at 10 miles and the sound was perfect
- They seem very good, function well and transmit clearly.
- A little pricey but worth it. They have a good range in the clear but all walkie talkies are limited if blocked.
- I love the range they get and they do not loose signal easily.
- They have pretty good range; we are able to talk, with a little bit of static, across the waterpark, about 1/4 mile apart.
- Work great so far, decent range in the city, have not used in the mountains yet.
- The reality is they do not even make it half a mile (.5) in my residential area which is largely unobstructed because it's part of a golf course.
- The range is terrible, it won't pick up your voice if your whispering
- It works well using the hands-free option but I tend to use the button more.
- They're very compact, the buttons are all rubber, and the screen is clear and easy to read, especially when its' display light is on.
- The lock feature was nice so the kids didn't accidentally change channels but you do need to remember to unlock it before you are able to turn it off.
- I bought these for motorcycle rides, and put a 2.5 mm headset in it, works awesome.
- Great set of walks, like the led light, an option of recording what was last said.
- Lots of cool extras. My necessities were rechargeable or throw away batteries, waterproof and floating. I love them.
- It's packed with a lot of features that will surely come in handy in case of emergency.
- The playback feature is really helpful. Even though there are a lot of functions, the symbols on the handset make it fairly easy to figure out.
- With both radios on and in standby mode, the 900 mAh batteries lasted a total of 56 hrs and 57 min, while the 300 mAh Cobra batt's lasted 21 hrs & 35 min.
- They an 18 mile range yes an 18 mile range 22 separate and run on 4 AAA batteries.
- Batteries that it came with do not hold a charge for more than about 4 or 5 hours.
- I love that they take AA rechargables so you can always replace the batteries or upgrade them with higher capacity NiMh batteries down the road.
- Being able to recharge out and about with a Micro USB is a necessity as well as being able to use standard alkalines in emergency situations.
- I love having the rechargeable base. I feel the battery life is good. No complaints here.
- I love these walkie talkies! The features and battery life is amazing!
