- The original unit I received did not detect anything due to some problem with the search coil, so had to send it back for a replacement.
- If this is your first machine with a DD coil have some patients as they do not work the same as the round coils. Once you figure it out you will never go back to round coils.
- Great detector , thinking of getting new coil for this one.
- My biggest beef with this detector is the coil. I just cant seem to get the pin pointing down.
- The item work very will but I found glue on the coil
- After taking it on a beach trip and watching the Garrett how to videos online I started finding some good stuff on the beach. $3.88 in various coins...and a 14k gold ring with 8 small diamonds!!!
- I like this machine alot, it's a big upgrade from my old one. Found my first coin spill the other day.
- Very Nice. I consistently dig way more GOOD stuff than any other person I've hunted with. Very happy with it.
- This detector is great like advertised. I have ran around 100 hours with it and found several coins, relics, and trash
- Mine has issue with coil. Garret sent me a new coil but it didnt fix the problem. I bought a smaller coil that works fine.
- So far it seems to be doing great...very light weight and easy to use. I found a few objects but nothing with old coins just yet.
- The visual effect is very large image and is wonderful for my so who is also blind in One Eye. He says it's light in weight and he is capable to using this Metal Detector easily
- Haven't had chance to use yet but I do like the electronics and the light weight
- Well the detector is super light weight Big display. It does what it says it does in a very good way.
- A very light weight metal detector and it was easy to assemble.
- Depth? I found a 2 euro coin (think half dollar size) just over 2 feet deep in the sand at a beach. That's right, no exaggeration, 2 freakin feet.
- As far as performance goes, the LRP is a solid performer and can detect coins to 7"-8" inches in my mineralized East Texas soil. The ground balance does good, but doesn’t isn't as good as ground balancing of the Garrett AT Pro / Max.
- Once you find an object you can pin point the location and approximate depth. On my first outing found a 1950's penny at 9"...right where the detector said it would be....pretty impressive in my opinion.
- The sensitivity, the Depth, the simple control box! I tried it out in the back forest of our building & immediately found a 1946 dime! Silver I guess?
- It's going to take some time getting used all of the bells and whistles but it hasn't lied yet! found everything at the depth that it said it was at
- This detector works great! Was able to find lost survey pins as well as a number of other objects like coins and jewelry.
- Very pleased with this metal detector, we live in FLORIDA so we go hunting on the beaches often. With the automatic ground balance this is a superior tool for the job!
- Saltwater took a bit of getting used to, but ended up with a gold ring and more than 70 coins in a single day!
- This is perfect for beginners who are curious/ interested in metal detecting, it is not expensive and the screen shows how deep the object is, and what it is.
- The depth is fantastic even on standard mode and the discriminator although not entirely foolproof is a lot better as I don't have to waste a lot of time digging for junk.
- The numeric indicator display is invaluable. Once you learn the machine and how it reacts to different metals you can easily pick and choose when to dig.
- Has 4 tone audio...0-99 target ID...depth meter...battery indicator....notch...adjustable notch width AND location.
- Very customizable in modes 2, 3 & 4 (which stand for number of tones) using the v-break and notch options.
- Love the ground grab feature and even without headphones can easily distinguishable tones.
- While I like the performance of most of the BH line, I'm not too crazy about the display. Getting older, it's hard to see LCD segments.
- Easy learning curve to use this detector.
- Excellent detector. Seller was very helpful with a small issue I had with an accessory.
- Found a WWII button first time out! Very accurate
- The reading it gives from 0-100 is extremely inaccurate ( and yes ive bought new coils and tried different sizes ).
- I love the pinpointing feature and the ability to see and "hear" what's in the ground. This is one of the best values in metal detectors!
- My only complaint is that the screen does not have a back-light.
