The transfer speed is also faster than I expected. I will by upgrading to 1TB (or higher) strictly for video soon.
While I'm not seeing the quoted average "up to" speeds of 500+ MB/s, they are still impressive.
I really love this portable speed demon. It's built very well and is the perfect size for putting in your pocket or laptop bag.
The transfer speeds between the internal SSD and the T5 are just quick.
Extremely slow on USB 3.0. Writing a 20GB file only does so at 24MB per second.

They are quiet, cool (as opposed to running hot), and an easy size to handle. There is a rubber strip around the edge to help protect it if it falls.
Wow - just wow. Was debating this forever based on cost but I pulled the trigger. Really well built drive that's gorgeous.
Super fast. Very light, and you can tell its tough. Definitely my best external yet.
Super fast, aesthetically pleasing, zero compatibility issues with 3 different PCs unlike the Samsung models.
So fast, never has any troubles, light, you can use usb A or usb C (both cables included), I love it. Truly, get either one and you will be happy.
I also wish that is had rubber feet on one side as the skin it slick so I have to be careful where I place them.

Rugged metal case means I don't have to worry about dropping it.
It is encrypted which is another very valuable feature. It is a great failsafe!
The samsung software for Mac, providing password encryption and other features, does NOT work with Mac Sierra or Mojave OS.
I should also mention, it has a password function to allow the user to put in a password. The is a nice feature.
Adding a slot that would ingest SD cards dynamically like the Gnar box would be a cool feature. Get the biggest size you will use it.

It's just really fast. Love the fact that it's USB 3.1 C gen 2 - it works really well with my new Dell XPS 9550.
Exceeded my expectations. I am a photographer and have tens of thousands of photos that I edit and store on an external drive. I was blown away at the speed and performance of this drive for my photos.
This device transfers huge files at incredible speeds. This works faster than a thunderbolt easily. It is well made physically as well. Rubberized exterior makes it more resistant to damage and looks good as well.
The SanDisk Extreme 900 Portable SSD will take a slow computer and make it faster; it will take a fast computer and make it super fast!
Definitely not close to the 850+ MB/s advertised or teased in their promo material on other websites.
